A lot of people use slideshare now, and I was wondering what your opinion is on it.
Though I have never used it, I hear it's a lengthy process. I've heard both good and bad about it, but I can't see myself using it. I find it annoying reading stories on it and it's a big turn off for me. I either see really small text or have to put it in full and can't use the other tabs easily. So I think it's annoying, it sounds annoying too.
Your opinion?

Yeah, I know of one Sims 3 legacy I'd read if it was in a blog because I like the author and her other story, but I can't read this one because Slideshare annoys me too much!

Just say no to Slideshare. I tried to read a legacy that utilized it, but gave up.

Yay omg! *hugs everyone*
I can't stand having to read it in fullscreen. I just don't have the attention span to read hundreds of slides without jumping around in different tabs and looking at other stuff at the same time.

Okay, so. On my ill-advised short trip to SimSecrets the other week, the only secret I saw was one that seemed to be aimed towards Slideshare haters. I actually started this post, thought nah, leave it alone, you're just paranoid still from the Valley/MM hate secrets fest and it doesn't mean anything when you see a large number of guests looking at this forum recently when nothing has been posted here for months, but I just got a referral from this thread. So apparently people are still looking at it. Also, that triggered me because I always knew there was a secret about me when I got a spike in referrals from my LJ. So I just wanted to say - if you want to do Slideshare, you should do it. Who cares if that means some people won't read it? I know some people won't read 10 because it's full text. Fuck 'em. I'll write it the way I want. Now, it was a long hard road for me to learn that lesson, but maybe I can save someone else some pain. Go and listen to whatever music gets your blood pumping and gets you all ready to take on the world and fuck the haters (may I suggest Eminem and Rage Against the Machine?), and do whatever the hell you want to do with your story. Oh, I wanted to add that it's not "some" people who won't read 10 because it's full text, but nearly the whole Sims community. So yeah. Don't take people's opinions on formats so personally. They're only thinking about how they react to that format. They're not thinking about you as a person. They don't even know you as a person. You are not the format in which you choose to post your Sims story. I, however, am Jack's raging paranoia.

I don't like SimSecrets and I try to avoid it at all times...well, except that one event when they criticized atomticspacekitty and others for recreating TS2 characters into TS3 characters. That was retarded. It's your game, but you can't make the Sims you want. Bologna. I've never heard of this Slideshare thing makes me think I haven't adventured far enough into the communities. Stacy: I love 10. The format is no different from reading a book on-line. SO it doesn't have pictures...prose isn't suppose to have pictures. That's why it's prose. I have a prose site...sure I don't get as many readers as the Sims stories, but that's just because I only post links here to it. [shrug] If you're looking for some pumping music I suggest Linkin Park.

I DID read the Sim secrets for the past few weeks because I too, am a raging paranoid. BUT that secret that you were talking about wasn't geared toward you. The week before someone had posted one whining about how everyone should change to blog format and blah blah blah...Unlike yourself, they went about it in a childish way. The secret this week was referring to them and being somewhat sarcastic, like, I LIKE IT MY WAY AND EVERYONE SHOULD DO IT THAT WAY!!1!!one!! So I'm 99.99 percent sure that this stupid secret wasn't because of what you posted. I think people have looked at this thread because it's been the "last post" on the home page for a while. Adele
