A. You won't know if you won't try. If you don't succeed, then at least you will have that experience to apply towards your next work. I think you should go for it. ^_^
B. A disclaimer would be polite, but as you said we already have to click on a content warning before entering your blog. Maybe put a general warning on the sidebar, like what LunarFox did on her Ruin blog?
C. I think you should write whatever makes you happiest! If you want to keep Veronika Storm a certain way, then make a new blog. But I don't think it's necessary. I'm a proponent of going for it.
D. I think it's the reader's problem and not your own if they have an issue with homosexuality. Write what makes sense to the character, and how it fits in to your story.
(I can relate to worrying about that sort of thing though, I didn't want to type out the word "abortion" on my silly legacy, because I was worried about controversy).

Oh, those are beautiful!!!! And I agree with Tesseracta - ain't your problem if other people are homophobes. I'm all for the grittiness, of course. And I think you can pull it off. It's like Lizzie says in Jane Austen's Fight Club, which I've designated the official VSS YouTube video, lol. "I want you to hit me as hard as you can." Very much looking forward to reading it.

Pretty, pretty sets! I think you take it however you need to, but it might be good to put a sidebar warning or something if there's going to be graphic sex or violence, or swearing. I wouldn't warn about homosexuality though. Homophobes need not apply.

I'm glad you're back and that your break was productive! I think the hard part is the writing, which you've done.
Looking forward to reading your update. : )

Yes - Aaron is definitely a tormented soul. I didn't think there were that many readers (I only counted 1, actually) that weren't happy about the violence... but I mean Crime story - what were they expecting? Tea and cakes with the Vicar? And please do NOT dumb it down. It's important that you stay true to your muse - especially when it's playing nice!

Illandyra, Kiri is right, I only had the one person, and you know my reaction, I am just going to continue on as I have been, I am changing nothing, nor should you. Stay true to your muse and to your story, this is why we started blogs in the first place, so we could do the kind of stories we want to tell. And I will get to Veronika tomorrow, I have some catching up to do~

It's so exciting when that happens! Lurkers de-lurking are the best comments I reckon And you're allowed to get your knickers in a twist! It's a part of the process

*breathes a huge sigh of relief* Would you believe I've actually had two readers de-lurk to comment on this chapter? I'm stoked. Looks like I was getting my knickers in a twist over nothing, but then I do tend to do that Wonderful! Knicker twisting is a hazard when going with a plot you have not done before. I am also a serial hand wringer at times (hey, a hand wringing smiley!! Paging Kiri...) But you stayed true to your character, sometimes, you just have to show everything, warts and all, or you do the character a injustice. And I get all excited too when someone de-lurks. Great update, BTW.

Aaron really has a problem with Veronika and Simon don't he! ETA: Actually I've found in TS3, that the flawed sims are the most fun to play with - neurotic and insane are complete scream!

Well, after the frustration of continuously having to click through the adult content notice on MY OWN SITE *grumble grumble* while I was making formatting changes, I've decided to dispense with it once and for all. Not really sure anyone paid all that much attention to it anyway and I do have a more explicit warning posted in the banner on the site saying exactly why it's for an adult audience, so my conscience is (kind of) clear. I've never really played with less than perfect Sims before - as far as I'm concerned it's a game to escape reality so why give my sims my own neuroses? However Aaron is the exception and it really couldn't be any other way. He is a grumpy loner and he has some of the most expressive faces, it's almost as if you can tell what he's thinking. I don't mean those stupid idle faces that other sims make, I mean angry and sad and disgruntled. I posted a few of his outtakes on my pic site: The Many Faces of AaronI find less than perfect Sims a joy to write about. Az is a perfect example of that 'onion' character we were talking about at your blog. Fascinating layers peeled back to reveal...more layers. Look forward to reading your update!
