Hummm. Day One was God. Day Two was Emotional Manipulation. Day Three is underage sex. I'm hating to think of what's going to be in the story by Day 30!

no writing for 7 days Checking out worlds today, as Galaad just hasn't quite got it. Anju Falls is in the running - it looks quite Australian.

I wrote! A whole scene! Woot! Go me! Completely uncomfortable with the story material, although it did not include sex, drugs, violence, god, or rock 'n roll. In fact, all they did was get up and go to the car. How about that for inocuous.

I love your doctor! She looks amazing, and very much like the photo! (Is she also the girl in your avatar?)
Oh, and I love the heights in your Currier family! I'm so glad you can do heights in TS3, because you know I'm all about heights, lol! Can you modify heights on the children as well? I'm hoping so, so that I might be able to continue doing my gradual aging thing in TS3 like I do in TS2.
I'm happy you're starting to write! Don't worry, I never write my first drafts in order either, lol!

The girl in my Avatar is the one I'm currently writing about. She's Grace Peridot, daughter of Brian and Judith Peridot. Brian is a minister, Judith is a teacher, and Grace is a problem teenager. I'm actually thinking I need to re-CAS her, because her makeup and clothing is wrong for the period of time I'm writing about. Thankyou for the comment about the doctor I wanted to make her very doctor-ish. The sliders work for all age groups, so technically you could do it with toddlers and children. The thing I like about the sliders is that it isn't a single slider for height - but one for leg, and one for torso. There's also another for neck. Also with the Curriers, you'll notice that Ruth is wider in the hip, has a bigger butt, and thighs than Henry. Those are sliders too! I love the body sliders. I've written 5439 words so far, and 6 scenes. Which is a far cry from 23,000 words I should have written to 'succeed' in Nanowrimo. On the other hand, I'm not really that caught up by success or failure. As far as I'm concerned, I succeed if I'm still writing by Nov 30. Thanks Lunar! I'm pleased that I did it too. I've got a couple of other scenes in my head, that I think are uncomfortable - and I'm starting to think it's the discomfort that's stopping me from writing rather than anything else. So I'm taking Stacy's lead and doing it anyway!

Did some work on Anju Falls. Still not convinced that it will work - but it's closer than any other so far. I do NOT want to have to create my own hood from scratch. In other news - I created a townie! Can you guess what part he's going to play in my town?

He's so dirty, lol! That's awesome! I'm glad the facial hair options for TS3 are starting to look better - in the beginning, they were really struggling!
My guess is he's a street junkie? Or you know, he could just be a very dirty and hard-working mechanic or something, lol!

Yup - a street junkie. The facial hair is CC Lipstick. Very cool, because you can both make it any colour and fiddle with the transparency for lighter or darker stubble.
I wish EA would think of that! I miss TS2 where the stubble and beard were separate.

When I want thinner stubble, I usually have to fiddle around with the hair colors and make some of the "hairs" flesh-toned. Sounds disgusting, but it works. I think I'll try the recolorable stubble out instead...
The junkie looks awesome!! So realistic.

Thanks for the stubble link Kiri. It's cool that it's under make-up so we can mix it with other facial hair. Also, I like robokitty's default replacement facial hairs. There are stubble and clean versions of goatees etc. They look far more realistic than the original. www.kittyklan.com/facialhair

Talked to Stacy today - was going through my dilemma list, which keeps on getting longer. What's my dilemma list I hear you not asking? What Sims game to use for my nanowrimo which has turned out to be the prequel of what I had been planning. Whether I should do it in Sims2 because of the awesome pose boxes, and the ability to make my own CC. Or Sims3 because I prefer playing Sims3. Or Whether I should do the story in Sims2, and a prosperity hood in Sims3. or Sims2. Or Indeed, if the story I have already written as a prequel/different point-of-view to Amelia's story in the Last Sunrise, could be made into a sims story - which would be very cool. Or for that matter - if my other weird and twisted story - Just another Valentine's Day would work simmified too? And if I spend all my time deciding on which story and game to do, will I never do any of it?

And if I spend all my time deciding on which story and game to do, will I never do any of it? Bwahaha ;D Yup, I think you have to decide at some point! I haven't read the stories you mention yet as I only very recently discovered your blog (Edit: I just noticed there are no such stories on the blog I've found, five families. Do you have another blog?), but in my opinion it's always interesting simmifying stories if you really enjoy playing the game. If you play it mainly as a means to get shots, then it might end up frustrating. Personally, I prefer the Sims 3 in many respects: The graphics, the sims' bodies (in Sims 2 the females' waists are unnaturally thin AND we have no muscle/weight adjustors), the gameplay. Especially the gameplay is very important to me to keep me motivated in continuing a story. But, as you say there are way more options regarding the animations and the tools with the sims 2. Plus you can have weather effects to create a specific atmosphere (eg a cold rainy evening).

My blog just has some snippets and short stories. The rest of my Sims Stories are at my website www.simthing.net (Click on the stories link) The Last Sunrise, is on the 5 families site. It's not simmified. Just another Valentine's Day and the Prequel to TLS are not on any website anywhere. They're fairly novel-length writing I have in hard-copy.

Yes, I know The Last Sunrise isn't simmified (not yet, at least . Somehow I didn't notice it on your blog before, but finally I found it, read it, and I think it would be made into a great sims story. Now that we have late night and its vampires it would also be relatively easy to make the characters.

You should definitely do what you're going to enjoy. Pose boxes sound great, but they're a lot of work. TS3 has its limits, but I find it more fun for picture taking.
