We're all creative writers here so I figure, why not do a fun, simple round robin style game. The idea is to post one line each and add to the story.

It was a cool day, the kind of day that tells you winter is coming.

It was a cool day, the kind of day that tells you winter is coming. The wind was brisk, and it sent a chill racing down my spine as I stood stood at the top of the street.

I melted into the shadows as the security guard strolled by. He was small and portly, and though he moved quickly for one of his size, he didn't notice me as he stepped off of the curb and climbed into the Jeep marked "Security" in thick blocky letters on the side.

This development certainly pushed my timetable ahead a lot faster than I'd hoped, making my heart race and sending hot flashes pulsing through my body.

"Well boys, look who we have here." A soft, menacing voice whispered behind me.

"Well boys, look who we have here." A soft, menacing voice whispered behind me. He had been waiting, he and that horrid brother of his. I screwed up my face into what I hoped was a convincing sneer and turned to face him. He was not alone.

It was time, then. I'd been waiting for this for so long and yet I found that I wanted to delay the inevitable as long as possible. But when that horrid, weasel-like brother of his stepped forward, that despicable sneer on his face, and stared at me as if I were the freak, rather than him, then I knew I was ready.
