I'm trying to organise my Sims3 CC - because I've got too much and it's crashing everywhere.
BUT.... I want to have the content that lets me build my hood they way I want.
So what CC are you using the most, at the moment? And more importantly - how are you organising it?

I just looked, and a lot of my CC comes from the Sims 3 store. I like interior design and fashion, so I have a lot of clothes and furniture. I think my collection of wall art is a little out of control.
Back when I played Sims 2 I organized everything into all these folders, but with the Sims 3 I don't. I combine packages to speed my game up, and that keeps the number of files down to a low enough number that folders seemed like a waste of time.

How do you decide which packages you combine?
I install EA content, through the launcher, but everything else is in packages, and in the Mods folder.
I have my 8 folders, but it's how to decide which packages get combined. I ran Delphy's dashboard, and found I have about 6 packages that have duplicates.

I put clothes together one file, accessories in another, objects in another, etc. etc. I haven't had any luck combining hair files yet. I keep a back up of everything in case I want to take something out for whatever reason.
And to prevent crashes and other issues, I always run Delphy's dashboard after I install new stuff. I've also discovered that a lot of glitches can be fixed simply by clearing all the caches.

I think I have too much CC then. I've got 85 combined files. I've combined Hair and Mods as well. Today I threw out the combined packages, and I'm starting again with more organisation. I think the way you do it Illandrya is the way to go.
It sounds like I need to wade through my CC, and pull a lot out.

I should've said that I try to keep my CC folder pretty small. I don't go over 1 GB, and I clean house a lot. I am no stranger to the delete button.

At the moment, I'm just making sure I have everything working. then what I'm going to do is just have the things in there that I'm actually using. This is my plan. Ah hem. And so it is.

I just went through and deleted everything... My game was running so slowly, that I just couldn't take it anymore. (Plus I really want to add the new expansion pack when it comes out tomorrow.) I'm not sure what I'm going to download now that I can start from scratch...definitely going to have to be careful to not download too much.
