This is a great thread! It's so wonderful to be able to see the face behind all these awesome stories. Thought I'd had myself too. Sorry for the glare on this photo. It was taken last Xmas and that's my little niece Kira. This is our bubby girl, shorty. My beautiful old boy Zac. If you think his face looks odd then your right, lol! He lost an eye a while go but is still soldiering on. Munching away on some yummy grass, lol! That's my bf mixing his feed btw, while I play cameraman. What a good man!

He's a wonderful looking horse, and such a cute dog. I know this is a strange thing to say but you look Australian.

Jennifer, thanks for sharing those pictures, you are quite lovely, and so is the horse. LOL! You don't mind me asking how did Zac lose an eye? I always wanted a horse *sigh* Loads of work though, I can imagine. And Shorty looks to be a sweetie, and so does the BF from what I could see of him! ~Cheers~

Pinkfiend1 - Both pets are very similar, they like to eat...a lot. lol And thanks, I think. I will take that as a compliment. Drew - That's sweet of you, thanks. It's a complicated explanation behind why and how he lost his left eye but to keep it brief, he developed an abscess on the cornea of his eye which then resulted in it having to be removed. We could have done major surgery to the eye (cornea grafts) but there was only a 50/50 chance that he would be able to see again. I just wanted him to be comfortable and free of any unnecessary pain immediately. They cope pretty well with only one eye. I was surprised. I did attempt to ride him after everything had healed but he shyed a lot and the places we have to ride where he's agisted are only on busy roads. I'm a real trail rider kind of girl. It's funny to watch him run around the paddock, he holds his head to one side so he can see where he's going. ;D But watch out if your on his blind side, he might bowl you over! lol
