Illandrya, for once we have this planned out way in advance, but it's never safe to make assumptions. Thank you so much for taking the time to look at it! Gayl and I appreciate it so much.

Loving these extras! I can't wait to learn more about these characters, and that painting...really can't wait to hear the story behind that one.

I don't want to get too excited and jump the gun but do I smell a tasty love triangle blowing in the wind?

Rachel and Qui: thank you from both of us!
We do have something planned that will take Rayne into Duff's orbit; it's a little bit down the road. We have the next chapter written if I can ever focus enough to take the shots and quit worrying about whether they are perfect and unique and creative and just do it.
Your support means so much to us.

Blogger keeps eating my quotes, but I LOVE the stuff about the band. Duff's mosaic is beautiful and Shooter seems very interesting. Is that, or is that not, the sexiest band ever created in pixel form?
I agree that if you want to start a new 'season', now would be a good time to do it, with Passages ending and Sessions reaching a natural turning point.

Thank you Rad. We are going to break it up into a new season; it makes sense. I've been sick and Gayl has more than she can handle right now, so we went ahead and posted the next one as a Sessions chapter. We will move it.
And thanks about the band! Gayl makes all our characters, except those who are born in the game. She's pretty incredible!

I put up some shots of the world Gayl and I use. I've been meaning to do maps and never got around to it, and these still aren't really maps. Our World

Is that, or is that not, the sexiest band ever created in pixel form? Yep, it is!! sb, these are very beautiful shots. I've still got a lot of reading to catch up but I'm loving your & Gayl's work.

Beth and Gayl, Your neighborhoods, lots, houses, characters, all come together to form one amazing tapestry. I can honesty say I put a lot of effort into my urban sub-hood at Crime Story with just your urban vistas in mind. Thanks for the inspiration. Lovely shots BTW, that is my next goal, to try and create as lovely a beach /living area as you have.

sfe, qui and drew, thank you so much from both of us!
Drew, I'm flattered. I think you'll find that it is more difficult to do the beach/living area than it is the urban area. I find it hard to get a good line of sight, something interesting, some way to avoid a line of houses along a road. I'm still working on the area with all the huge mansions since that is exactly the problem. It comes across as a boring street. In a rural area I can mix it up with barns and stuff, but there's not much except trees and rocks to use when it's not a barn sort of place. I resorted to building small parks between the houses which helps a little. Your urban areas are wonderful!!

In one of those moods where I'll do almost anything to avoid actually writing something, I wrote a synopsis for Sessions. I did one for the earlier work, but Sessions is so long it seemed time to do another one. We've officially ended it; there's a new blog... like I said, any excuse.... In case it is remotely helpful, and because I have to justify wasting all morning on this, here is the link. Sessions SummaryEdited to add a warning: naked pics in the summary

I hope yours was more creative than mine! Writing a summary is kind of hard though.

That's a very good summary of what has happened in Sessions and a lot has happened so I do understand why it would be difficult to even attempt to sum it up. And at least your creative avoidance invovles actually writing something, even if it's not the story itself. I stoop to categorizing my buy mode stuff into meaningless collection files when I'm ducking a writing goal.

I have a couple of things: 1. For people who have expressed frustration with the extra roads running all around a map, you can selectively delete them if you're familiar with SC4. I haven't used SC4 in while, but I think I could probably do it. I read a tutorial at TSR and downloaded the pdf, which I would attach except I'd probably get slammed by TSR and I don't need that right now. So here's a link. There's a way to delete them with Lot Adjuster, but it looks like a huge amount of work. 2. This thing: Does anyone know how to make this particular set of CC from Chinafansims actually work? When I place the ceiling lights, they show up above the ceiling. It's here under Objects, page 34. 3. And finally, something I did not want to post but I wanted to explain some changes. I'm going through an unexpected, nasty, very frightening separation and, no doubt, a divorce. I'm falling behind in reading, and, like most people going through this, I second guess everything I say and do. Anyway, I'm not blowing people off because I've developed an attitude. I appreciate your understanding.

SB, you know already you have my support. You're not a "reader" but a friend.
Also, sorry I don't have a clue how to get those lights to work.

Dearest Beth I'm so sorry and sad that you are going through such a horrible time. I wish there was something I could do or say to help you feel better. You have my support, and if there's anything I can do to help I will. In the meantime - I've downloaded those lights, and I will make them work, and then I will come back here and let you know what's happening with them. The CeilingsWhy they are how they are:Ceilings from EA were brought into the game in the last expansion pack - Apartment Life (Aug 2008). Prior to Apartment Life, ceilings were made artificially, by laying rugs and lights at a ceiling level. Yingyings lights were made in April 2006, so that's why when you have the ceiling turned on, they are imbedded in the ceiling and can't be seen. Solution:The simplest way to use these lights, is to turn the ceiling off. And use the lights, and the decor in the set to create a ceiling instead. That can be done fairly simply by a button on the UI. I've included an image for it, because I didn't know where it was. So I'm allowing for others not to know as well. If you like I can create a collection for you for the set, so they're easier to find.
