Wasn't sure if anyone knows about Scrivener for Windows. I found the site and a user made vid that gives an overview of it. It seems to be much more user friendly than LSB. Check it out: www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8043It's the very first link in the first post. I like the fact that it has tools for the 'visual' person - which would be me, as well as the linear person (outlines etc). I'm gonna give it a try as I can't seem to import my saved files into LSB. I have a new pc and can't get to all my work! I'll let you know how it turns out. Here's another vid, it sort of breaks down the usefulness of Scrivener. www.literatureandlatte.com/misc/ ... ntials.mov

I just have two questions:
1. Can you justify text in Scrivener?
2. Does it have special character capability?
These were my two dealbreakers for LSB.

The windows version is still in the beta stages (although scrivener's bets is better than LSB in my opinion). But yes, you can justify. If by special characters, you will it accept font's you've downloaded from, say Dafont.com, then yes. I just downloaded scrivener today and can say that it has imported all the fonts I've collected over the years. Also, it has a very small learning curve compared to LSB. I had LSB for over a month and still hadn't learned all of it's features. I looked at one, very well made, video tutorial that's built into scrivener for a quick and easy run down and I'm currently going through the written (and very user friendly) tutorial. I already know more about it's features than I'll ever probably need. I'm loving it and I haven't even used it yet except to follow step by step instructions. And the neatest feature is, you can drag and drop vids, images, documents etc into scrivener, put them side by side while you write for visual inspiration. Or if you prefer the linear method, you just click the button and you get a nice out-line format to use. There's just so much to love about it! I'm so glad Kris cued me in on this handy tool. Gawd! I sound like an info-mercial. If you want to take a look at some cool pic, click on Kris's siggy (speechless) to go to her site. She's posted a wonderful collection of screen shots to show you how she's using the tool.

I clicked on the 2nd link of the infomercial, and this is what I got: "Nothing to see here... Move along now, move along." ;D
Just love it when web designer adds humor in directing web traffic.
