Rad, I really think it just depends on the story. I usually do picture text text text, lol. I don't think people realize how much they're reading when they read an update mostly due to formatting of the page, but it's always something like two pages of text and like 6 to 10 pictures.
But I've seen stories that do picture picture text very well. Used well, those can set the scene/atmosphere of the story, you know? I think the most important thing is to simply tell the story as honestly as you can, and do it in the way that is best for the story, not in the way that you think people might like to read your story. 'Cause some updates will need more or less. So far, I've had one all picture update and one all text update.
Also, DB-- XD You're dangerous to leave floating around the forum. I can see that now.

Hmmm...sometimes I do pic text pic text...but sometimes, mostly in The Shadow, its pic text pic pic pic text pic pic...lalala...it just matters what you want the readers to know and how dramatic you want the scene.
