So I just about had a heart attack.
I decided to check out the chaos mod painting, cause ya'll like to say how awesome it is.
And it has the option to "spawn ghost"
OMG. I just tried it in game and it FREAKING WORKS!
WOOOOOT! My ghost problem is solved. Its amazing how a modder can fix my problem when EA can't after exchanging emails for a month....and then they send me a customer satisfaction survey with my problem not fixed. WTF EA? o0

Yah, EA seems to drop the ball on a lot of things.
But I"m very excited that you can get your ghosts back! That means the villian will make an appearance again right? =)

Hm. I have a weird glitch with one of my characters. She can't interact with the fridge. She can use the stove to cook and use the fridge autonomously, but the menu doesn't pop up when I click on the fridge for her. None of my other characters have this problem.
Its not a huge deal, but its annoying.

Soapbox
My latest narrator, Genesis, and I share something in common that I didn't realize when I was writing the story.
I don't know if my unconscious connected the dots. I didn't until late last night.
In RL, I'm currently engaged. Unfortunately, the closer I get to the marriage date, the less sure I am that I want to be with this guy. There's so many things wrong with him. Glaring flaws. I feel like I could do so much better; only I'm kind of trapped with my living situation and finances. One of the traits that you may not realize about Blasius is that he's very possessive. An eerie similarity to my fiance, who has guilt-tripped me out of seeing every male friend I've had since we've been together (almost 3 years)...and all of my friends are guys.
Yesterday, I made plans to see my Jean Claude. On the opposite side of the continental USA. Am I expecting something serious...no. Sexual...no. Could either happen...yes. Regardless, I needed a break from my life as much as Genesis needed a break from hers.
And now that I fit the connection together between my life and my character's, I'm finding a huge writer's block with her story. Its hard to separate her future with what might happen with mine. I have two weeks till I leave and fairly fail-safe cover story for my absence. However, I can't shake the feeling that Genesis will have a happier ending than me when it comes to life. And anyone who reads my stories, knows that there's little sunshine in the chapters. Hopefully, I'll be able to finish Genesis's story before I have to worry about my own.
If I were a sim, my most prominent trait would be "commitment issues".

I read this book called "The Gift of Fear"by Gavin de Becker. The whole point of the book? Trust your gut instinct. If it tells you to run, then run like you are a sim with your ass on fire. That's my opinion. I hope you can figure it out, and your writers block too.

Not that I want to be a marriage guidance counsellor, but if you don't want to get married, then don't. It's such a big commitment and a legal one at that, so you should only do it if you know you can make a go of it, not because you feel you should. If you're not sure one way or another, then it might be worth thinking about postponing the date until you are.</butting in with unwanted advice>
I have to say, though, Genesis's struggle is being written beautifully at the moment... your legacy is very clever in the way that although it's very plotty you still incorporate game elements like traits and LTWs that wouldn't alienate the non-TS3 player but are nice for those of us that do play and recognise those things. It's such a creative story and I envy that!

I think we all put pieces of ourselves into our stories, but perhaps not as complete a manifestation as you describe seeing in Genesis with/versus Blasius. Maybe you could try getting over your writer's block by tasking yourself with writing three outcomes. By writing three different versions of what happens next, you might remove the pressure of "what happens now?" Plus, you aid your story by picking the one that works best after it's written, and you help yourself by gaining perspective on your options. Just a thought.
Now for the unasked for advice. I heard a comment on marriage one time that seemed to make a lot of sense to me: Don't marry someone you think you can live with. Marry someone you know you don't want to live without.

Thanks for the advice from all of you. Its very motivating that people don't think I'm crazy for messing up something that looks "fine" to everyone else.
@db - Awesome idea. I'll get to work on that.

For all those curious as to why I've been in the shadows since my last post....well, in an hour I'm leaving for the airport to meet "Jean Claude". I broke it off with my fiance last week and its been very hellish living in the same apartment as him since.
The next chapter has already been written and decided for Genesis. I'm just too antzy to focus on getting decent photos for the story so I haven't been able to publish.
Maybe when I get back in a week.

I'm sorry to hear the stress you are going through, but I'm positive it will all get batter for you in the end. Take your time on the story, do it because you enjoy it not because I am expecting it. =p

With the first chapter of generation eight written, I've realized how close I am to finishing this legacy. It's become more than a documentary of this family - each name brings forth a personality and a story. I'd never forget Beila and her cheerfulness. Or Caja and her annoying fear of ghosts. There's also a lot of background about spares and history that has never made it to the narrative. I've toyed with making spin-offs to grant you guys the full picture, however some of my spares knew too much...I hate to give any spoilers to how this will end.

My boyfriend went away again...taking my laptop with him. I transferred everything to the desktop PC but for some reason this computer HATES the Sims. It's 2x as good as the laptop so I don't get it. I can't get pass the launcher. It says that the base game is incompatable with this patch, please update....then freezes. Joy. Reinstalling again. EDIT: On a positive note, Harmony is absolutely gorgous! I think she might makes some babies. EDIT 2: Base game finally works. Trying to install each expansion, then CC/Saved games.

Finally got it back to working order. I played an hour tonight and then it just randomly closed on me. Of course I forgot to save.
Sorting through pictures for next chapter and I just realized....Fia doesn't have her facepaint on. /facepalm Uck, I fail.

Do you use the CFF Explorer workaround? Solved the majority of my crashes to desktop (other than those caused when Windows helpfully decides to update itself in the middle of a session)

Not sure what that is. I don't want to fiddle with too many settings and break the computer. The crashes are consistant. About an hour of playtime and straight to desktop. EDIT: So I decided that I would just save every 10 mins. Now a new problem. CODE 12! Unable to save. So then I backup to a previous save. Crash. Restart. Code 12. Crash. What the hell.

You are a saint!
Fixed the problem. I started up the game. CD not found. Lawl. A restart fixed that. There's just so many technical issues I haven't had much time to think of the story.
Okay, I lied. I have a major issue. There's 7 people in the house and I need to make room for generation 9, however I can't seem to come up with a decent plot excuse for kicking anyone out.
