This was inspired by Jesse_Hill over at Black Pearl Sims… www.reflexsimsforum.com/content.php?39-10-things-The-Sims-4-should-have10 Things I want the Sims4 to have…of course I must first combine Sims2 and Sims3 and pluck out the ideas… 1. better graphics for Sims, not the neighborhood. I’d like graphics like Final Fantasy… 2. let creators, such as: HP of MTS, Liana, Rose, NewSea, Sims in Paris, select few from Black Pearl Sims, Vita Sims, and other, make stuff for the game…after all, we as players prefer their stuff over EAxis 3. I like the body mods as in the Sims3; however, I’d like Sim height to be adjustable (I am aware of the one Delphy made)…I’d like them to bend and match up right for kisses, hugs, etc. 4. Being able to boat would be awesome with sailboats, row boats, yachts… 5. …ummm…serial killer stuff…Sims killing Sims is realistic…it happens in the real world all the time…why not in the Sims?!?!? 6. No more ugly NPCs or their stupid names 7. bring back story mode from TS2, but make it printable and accessible from outside the game 8. picking time ages (medieval, futuristic) and fantasy worlds (magical, sea world, etc.) 9. automatic skills for traits…like a natural cook should have all cooking skills…someone who’s handy should have all mechanical skills, etc. 10. different choices of animations for sitting, sleeping, and alike…like being able to relax, slouch, lounge, sit side way on couches, lay on stomach, sit on counters, lean on bars, fences, railing, and counters…etc… My aunt came up with ten of her own…which she’s more “family/household oriented” playing than I am. She decided on these few: 1. from birth, babies have parents’ genetic traits…like you can be able to tell that the baby will have the mom’s nose and the dad’s lips…etc. 2. more items for babies, usable swings, strollers, bouncy seats… 3. workable laundry, able to wash, fold, iron… 4. infants having clothing options 5. Sims don’t age when not being played, NPCs and such are fine, let them age… 6. more than eight to a household…there’s a mod, but what’s the point if it’s already allowed… 7. able to select gender of baby and able to choose to have twins, triplets, quads… 8. usable lawn mower, brooms, vacuume, mops… 9. playable board games and cards…family game night… 10. wedding parties…brides maids, best man, flower girl, ring barrier… She says her ideas could possibly be an expansion/stuff pack done now... Well, what do you think about our ideas?!? Yes, no, maybe, possibly, could be?!?

We just thought of two more:
Having a preacher marry Sims and having funerals...real ones...

I've thought for a long time there should be a spiritual career track and a way to let someone officiate at weddings. They already have a career-based interaction with medical sims predicting a baby's gender, so there has to be a way.
And if they're worried about people being offended by the spiritual sims, then let us have the option to turn indiviidual careers on or off in the game.

You know, it really amuses me that, even without mods, you can have sims that cheat on their partners, neglect their kids to the point of having them removed, physically fight with each other, die through acts of violence... (and I'm not even going to start on cowplants )... yet, like you say, they might worry that people could be offended by spiritual sims?!

........well if you're god of the Sims...then wouldn't you be the one who makes them cheat on their partners and neglect their children?

In the sims 3 there are SO many things they could have done better. its still a HIGE step up from sims 2 which was starting to get a bit stupid with how unrealistic it was getting. honestly, magic? anyway, if i could suggest a few things, in no particular order: 1. There could be all sorts of things they could add for school and work. For school they could have proms, after school clubs, summer camps, extra learning programs for nerds or kids that are a bit retarded. (p.s. retarded used in the official way in that it is reserved for people with an I.Q. below 60) and for work, the promotions shouldn't just take a couple of days. the other thing is that the job, no matter what you do, if you work hard you get stressed out after a couple of hours. i don't know about everyone but i'm pretty sure lots of people enjoy their jobs. they also need to add more variety. i like that everyone has their own work building in town but they need a better system. office buildings and sky scrapers for people who actually have desk jobs and completely different stuuf for people who have a hands on job. also, you should be able to control your sim at work. if you're a teacher you should be able to teach about this and that, or if you're a doctor you should talk to patients and give diagnoses. 2. for gods sake make the day longer and everything the sims do faster. i take 10 minutes for a long shower but the sims take a whole frikkin hour. then again, some things need to be slowed down. no matter how hard you train, you can't lose 50kg in a day, or even a week. they also need to make the game a bit more real in the sense that you could get hit by a car or murdered by some maniac. in the current sims, you can only die from neglect, drowning, or the mumy's curse. you should also be able to hire a lawyer if you get robbed or mugged and the chances of you winning your case varying depending on how expensive the lawyer is. thank you for reading

Well thank you Rix for your insight. I hadn't even thought about expansions for school and work. I notice that you're a "guest." Become a member. We would love to have you and more of your insights. ;D

Those are all fantastic ideas.
And if magic was a stretch... what about the incoming vampires?

Are you upset about it like me? Or are you one of the ones who is really excited..
I'll be trying to create a story and some vampire will swoop in and kill my sim or something. Like, seriously.
There should be a disable button for them.

For events like that, there's a reason why we have the cheat code "moveobjects on." Go into Build or Buy mode and delete the trouble maker!

true story MDP.
I still can't stand the idea of vampires invading my sim world when it doesn't even have more realistic things.. like a hairdryer.
Then again.. showers that didn't take 1hr sim-time would be nice too.

There is a decorative hairdryer in Ambitions.
I won't mind vampires if they're like ghosts, mummies and simbots (i.e. you can avoid them if you want) but I'll be less impressed if they force their way into things.

I sometimes think weather would be nice but I only had it in the Sims 1 On Holiday pack so I've never experienced it in a hood and don't know if it's too much of a hassle or not.
This idea wins.

Rad did you edit my post accidently instead of replying to the topic or something? Sorry that was topic I just had a brilliant idea of what needs to be back. A simplified version of memories. Not including all the rubbish it used to have like making a friend, or snow, but things like got married to, went out with memories so that you can build a brief overview of what actually happenned to them before you controlled them.

I like that, Pink! It could be captured in a scrapbook or album that would go with the sim everywhere, like the cell phone.

I think that sims should have more hobbies. Ballet, soccer, gymnastics, singing, basketball, etc. Children should be able to participate in these hobbies as well. In the current Sims 3 games (with EPs) I feel that children don't have anything better to do than homework, games, and TV. There should be clubs/teams that all Sims can participate in based on their interests.

People are saying that Generations and Pets aregoing to be the next eps, after the trailers were leaked. The trailers do look too real to have been faked by someone. In theory Generations will be first and people are saying the announcement isn't out purely because they wanted to make Medievil look good and didn't want to steal it's thunder. By the look of it Generations will give people a lot of what they wanted in regards to more things for children, and teens to do, but then did it really need to be the sole focus of the ep?

I look forward to any new EP but I have to question this one two Pinkfiend. I thought it might have been like a University type EP but it's so hard to tell in trailer. There's a shot of a teen setting off a stink bomb in the classroom which makes me think that we will see our sims going to school? Pets. Omg, Pets! lol I loved that EP so much. Really looking forward to this one but it's unfortunate that it's going to be released last. I will just have to be extra paient. I wonder about the horse though. She's riding it in the park? That's not allowed in RL. ;D Also it's not wearing a saddle.
