MDP and I were starting a challenge of our own "Newbie In The City." We created a Sim, moved her into a pre-made house, had to live off of the $20,000 and no cheats (except we both have In-Teen), 1 hair and 1 outfit, which was hard for MDP. They had to get a job based on their life-time wants. They had to meet, fall in love, get married and have 3 children by career level 8, they also could not go visit any community lots until job level 5 and they needed to be platinum buy the time they reached elder.
Here is where it got difficult. I met my potential spouse (the welcoming committee). It took 3 days before he fell in love with my Sim. Got married and it took 13 tries to get pregnant. 10 attempts for a job in medicine (she wants to be Chief of Staff), she is still jobless.
MDP has had a worse time. She has to own 5 business for life-time platinum (we can't go down town until job level 5) she has a job in cosmetology. She got married and because we have In-Teen her first two pregnancies resulted in miscarriages, third pregnancy twins and fourth pregnancy miscarriage. Her Sim was a mess. Her Sim is also days away from being an elder.
Needless to say, this challenge FAILED! We are going to try another challenge.
Have any of you tried one yourself and it failed or succeeded? Got any good ideas?

Apocalypse's are hard, I failed rather a lot of them in Sims 2. And I was playing before all the complicated seasons and pets rules and everything came out. ISBI's are harder in the Sims 2 cos sims really have very little sense then, so if you want to do that one control the female through out especially seeing as you have inteen in. I hear the Black widow challenge is fun, and the Cinderella challenge sounds relatively simple. Boolprop.com is great for finding new challenges to play, more so with Sims 2 than with Sims 3.

MDP and I were reading some of the challenges there...the Black Widow one did raise our eye brows. I was thinking of making one of my own..."Surviving The Worst Vacation Imaginable"...what do you think?

13pumpkin: Correction first...My girl isn't in Cosmetology...I don't have Free Time...she's in Culinary. She had 11 days left until she turned to an elder...and with aging on that is not enough time for anything. So I turned aging off...I know I'm a sucker. Or is it FAIL? I can't live without the cheats now, I've decided. I think our challenge brink the near impossible marker. Like the 26 babies from 26 different dads challenge...It can't be done without aging off or at least help from the Insimenator. I think our second attempt at creating a challenge will be better. pinkfiend1: I had a Sim back in Sims Bustin Out days that did something like the Black Widow challenge. I would have my girl (Jen: serial killer by day, murder by night) make food. Then I'd move the food to a 3X3 building with a fireplace and wooden crates. The Sim I invited over or greeted would go into the building, I would pause the game remove the door from the building and the food platter. I would stuff the room with more crates that way the Sim was unable to move, turn the fireplace around the outside of the building, have Jen light the fire, turn it back around in the building, then wait for the building to catch on fire. Let's just say Jen had a lot of ghosts to vanquish. It was fun though. ;D Our challenge that we created Newbie in the City had these ground rules, if any of you are interested: The neighborhood had to be the Downtown that came with Nightlife. No cheats or mods, exception Inteen because we are too lazy to take it out and ruin our other relationships within the neighborhood. Freewill On Have to only use in-game animations Create-A-Sim: - One hair (holy suffering Batman!)
- One outfit per selection (not including outerwear and maternity)
- Accessories allowed
- Allowed to choose own Traits and Turn ons/offs
- Aspiration: Fortune
Build/Buy: - Had to buy one of the base game already made houses
- Can only use the simoleons from CAS, aka, $20k, no motherlode
- Live and furnish the house with the simoleons you have
- Allowed to buy anything, exception clothes hanger that allowed you to buy free clothes, though it doesn't come in much use because of the rule above in CAS
By end of the challenge your Sim must have a platinum Aspiration and completed their LTW (Lifetime Want). Pick a job based on LTW. Get to top level of job. Be married by Job Level 3. Cannot access community lots until Job Level 5. Had to have three children by Job Level 8. Sooo...something's make it easier like you can buy anything, there is no restrictions, except you can't use cheats. It appears that it wouldn't be so hard, but...as 13pumpkin explain above, appearances lie. We're creating a new challenge with a "base" so every challenge we make will have the same guidelines then a theme challenge like The Worse Vacation Ever would go over the "base" so not only do you have to complete theme challenge but follow the rules of the "base." [pheew, out of typing breath]

13pumpkin: Would you mind posting or sending me the "new" base TS2 Challenge. I don't have all the information that I had written in your notebook.
