Blogger is not letting me comment so I'll say some of what I wanted to say here (I don't want to spoil anything for people who haven't read it yet).
This was such a wonderful chapter. I truly gasped at the last line and the expression on Beth's face in that picture was so perfect. I'm in awe of the both of you. Loved it.

Thank you, Carla! Blogger has been acting strange for me the last couple of days, too.
I'm so glad you think it worked. I wasn't at all sure, and the lighting just gave me fits.

I agree with Carla. Very intimate in a lot of ways. I'm happy it wasn't as long a wait as I had anticipated. =D

Thank you, Choco.
We planned on including this scene with the previous chapter since they're both short and happen back to back. We ran into writing problems (point of view among other things), and didn't get it done. I'm supposed to be working on something else, something that needs another set, but I went back and finished this up since it was relatively easy, and it gave me an excuse NOT to work on the bit that's harder!
