It seems to me we have plenty of people who are having struggles and unhappiness at the moment. (I should know, I'm one of them).
So I think it would be helpful, if we could start looking for things that lift us up, that make us tap our feet, our hearts light and things that make us smile.
Just to be able to escape it all for a while. I know it would help me. That's for sure.
If you have any links to things that are funny, that make you wanna dance, that pick you up... share them!!
Here's my first link - U2 Elevation. This one always makes me want to dance. Which can be embarassing when I'm walking along the road and people are looking at me.

This is a nice idea, Kiri. I hope we get a whole bunch of awesome links/videos! A blog I read (a non-Sims one!) linked to this video yesterday. I have watched it a few times since then and I always smile. I love seeing dads and daughters together. I'm kind of a sap.

Kiri, love U2, but OMG, Carla, those two just take the cake! AWWW!!! I love that song as it is, and OMG, that little girl and her daddy are just adorable! I'll see if I can dig up anything uplifting.

That is so cool!!! it made me smile OK. Here's another one. I really love Pomplamoose - they are awesome. They are also very funny together, and sweet. And this one is with Nick Hornby and Ben Folds - so what's not to make you smile!

I'll admit that this video makes me cry big buckets of tears, but in a good way.
The guy has a channel with more videos of this cat and another that he's adopted, and you can tell he really loves them.

"Alright" is a real happy song for me too! Loved the Ben Folds video as well - I can't get enough of Mr Folds.

Those videos were great. Especially those Dr WHo ones. Really made me smile, These are my faves. Minus the cowboy and Indian epic battle with children for a music video because I can't remember the artist or song name. Some of these you may have doubts about but they do cheer people up. The video to the first one is especially worth watching not just listening to.

By the way... has anyone picked the movie that the title of the thread is from? Because this is so relevant for me... P.S. Wow Pinkfiend1! I loved the Ant and Dec one. Also Bobbie McFerrin is way cool. (I have an album he did with Yo-Yo Ma - complete magic!)

I know it's ridiculous, but I find that I just can't be sad when I'm looking at Cute Overload (except for the occasional sad story they'll put out, which is usually of the sad/inspirational variety). Cake Wrecks can often generate an out-loud chuckle from me as well.

Kiri is the quote a slightly edited version of a line in the Fifth Element?
I periodically look that the cake site. You get some really weird cakes sometimes.
Found that video I couldn't think of. It's the actual video that I always remember. Although I suppose it isn't necessarily the happiest video ever.

When I'm feeling down, I like listening to some music which has a good beat to it, even if the words suggest sadness, anything with a good beat will get me singing along: Thoughts Of A Dying Atheist: (A song with a good beat, no exactly happy, but I have to sing along when I hear it + it's by my favourite band ) Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You (Muse version): Starlight: (Yet again, by Muse) My Love - by Sia: (It just reminds me of a scene from Eclipse, and it makes me smile) Great DJ: Knights Of Cydonia - Muse: (My favourite song right now, it makes me want to sing and, well I love it!) Lumberjack Song: (this one just makes me laugh) I think that's it... EDIT- I just noticed Knights of Cydonia has such a dodgey preview

Well somebody is a Muse fan. That eclipse song I liked, although I really didn't want to based on the fact that it is linked to Twilight. The lumbarjack song was funny.

Disney song marathon? I sang this song back in grade eleven when I auditioned for my high school production of Fiddler on the Roof. Did the voices and everything. Ended up getting cast in a comic relief role

I'm not crazy about including this one, particularly not right now. But the graphics in this particular movie made a huge impact on me so I remember it. And yeah ok the whole prince thing was kind of special.
