They're all rather large, so I'm linking instead of embedding. a streamtrees and grasswaterfallstairs and flowersmountain sunsetJohn took all of these on his iPhone. Oh, and at the store we went to there was a shirt with the text "I live in my own world. But it's okay, they like me there." I showed it to John and laughed about how I should get it. Later my mother saw it and laughed and said "That's me to a T right there." Yep.

Wow, the iPhone camera is pretty damn good! You should see the pictures my phone takes!
What gorgeous pictures. I love the one of the stairs and flowers especially. Sort of reminds me of something around here but yours is prettier, lol.

I almost thought you were near my area then I saw that there was smooth green grass and I was like "nope, she's far away from here." We don't have grass. We have rocks. Actually my friend owns a T-shirt that says that very phrase too. My favorite one of his is "I have voices in my head and they say they don't like you." ;D

Those are beautiful! I love the stairs one too! Wow, I would love to stand right in that spot and see that with my own eyes. Feels like the kind of place that could inspire stories!

These are really beautiful, thanks for posting these. : )
I'm jealous that you get autumn foliage. It's the only thing I miss about living on the east coast.

Awww, thanks everyone! Carla - John says that the new iPhones have better cameras than his. I agree that it's pretty good, though. And yeah, the stairs and flowers are cool and I like it the more I look at it - it was part of the path down to the lower observation place of the waterfall. pinkfiend1 - Thanks! mdpthatsme - what is your area? And lol, I like your friend's shirt. laura - Aww, thanks. I don't think it'd be that far from you, depending on where you are in Virginia. It's the Cascade Falls on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Near Boone and Tweetsie Railroad. tesseracta - Thank you for commenting on them. And I do love our fall foliage - definitely one of the major inspirations for Farmer Brown. Lunar - Thank you! Glad you said it as well. Yay hugs! 13pumpkin - Thanks. And we did have a good time - my mother still calls to tell me that she really enjoyed it and before we left she said it was her best birthday ever.

Awesome! We'll have to go some time then. We're in northern Virginia, but hubby wants to do a Blue Ridge road trip sometime, so we'll have to stop there when we do!

Oh, those photos call out HOME to me, even though it's been a long time since I lived near there. ~nostalgic moment thinking about the Tweetsie Railroad~
I especially love the stairs and flowers and the sunset picture. Did you look around for Seth near the waterfall?
