MSC: The Raj Bebedadeh Story - (deleted)

Dear all!

At the beginning of September 2009, I found out about the Sim of the Month Challenge, created by Pinstar. It's a series of much shorter challenges than his legacy challenge and suited for the more impatient type of simmer like me.

Raj Bebedadeh is the third Sim of the Month and I’m writing a day-to-day account of his experiences.

Raj loves women and they love him, but there is always a price to pay…
His challenge is to ‘try for a baby’ with 10 different women despite having fertility treatment and to support the mothers of his children by giving a §5,000 lump sum per child.

I was quite worried about this challenge. I never liked ‘Romance Sims’ as in the Sims 2 and was actually thrilled they did not exist in the Sims 3. And then it looked like I had to deal with one anyway… *sigh*

So... I modified Pinstar’s prelude to the story as well as his bio of Raj to fit the ‘philosophy’ behind this challenge to the general spirit of my blog. The goal and restrictions of the challenge remain the same.

I am having a wonderful time reading this. It's always nice to get in on the beginning of challenges so I can cheer along. Wonderfully entertaining- I like Raj more and more each chapter.

Dear all,

I posted this update a little later than anticipated. Mostly, because I have wanted to do a story review of Rachel's excellent supsense story for days. It's up now.

As for Raj... he maybe flirty and nuts about women, but he has a good head on his shoulders and makes promotion yet again.

There is so much happening that I had to split the post in two again. Hopefully I can get the second half up later in the day... I desperately need some sleep now.

Hi all!

There is a new chapter up. It took me a while, not in the least because Raj wants to study and that makes for boring storytelling, but I think it worked out well thanks to the few other visitors to the library.

Day 8: Planting Seeds

I'm also delayed and will be updating less regularly because - in real life - someone very dear died prematurely in our family. That's bad enough, but one of my children had a serious mental breakdown because of this and is hopitalized.

I hope it will all sort itself out before Christmas, but it's difficult for me right now to write. I hope you understand there may be (hopefully, small) delays.

This was so unexpected and for days I tried to believe I could hang onto my normal routine. How shortsighted of me... I had to admit defeat. There is only so many hours in a day.
My son is better but on heavy medication. The funeral is next friday. I don't know whether he will be out of hospital by then, but feel it's better for him not to attend... Then, what do I know, I might be wrong (again). It's difficult, but I'm sure next year will be a better year.

But writing definitely helps and I do get to sneak in some time to escape in the Sim Universe.

It's weird how, when you can't sleep, those little pixel characters can whisk you away to another universe, and somehow make you feel better.
