Hi everyone! Since I have a couple new people asking about those open slots, I thought we might finalize what we're actually doing with them. I'd also like everyone to check in and confirm that we're all still doing the slots we signed up for and such We'd thrown around a couple ideas - like Samantha might revisit somewhere again (or pre-visit a place she'll end up in again later). And I think there was at least one person interested in that idea. Or we were also talking about keeping the order the way it is, and adding the extra time to other slots. Or we could open up those slots for new writers? Everyone speak up please! Here's the remaining slots after Blackcat's turn: age 25-26 4. SimsVille (Tanja): 18 mo. age 27 5. [unannounced] 6. Hi, it's Shake here. I'm thinking a shortish stay in my hood, like a season or something because aging is quite slow in New Buckington. So probably one of the 'age 27' slots would fit me. I was going to say the one before Riverdale but that's a six-monther and would take a few months real-time. I'll go for longer if it comes to that, however, it may go on a bit in real-time. But you know, it could work  |

If you need anyone to take a slot, I'd be happy to do it! Ardania's mostly game-play, but I have thrown in a few story-lineish posts, so I'm willing to do whatever you guys would like. Also, time in Ardania moves by pretty fast, so it wouldn't be a super long time before she moved on again. Thanks for considering me!

Now that I've thought ahead to the way Samantha's stay in Richmond will conclude, I have considered the idea of her coming back in one of the empty slots. But I'm also all in favor of opening them to new writers... so don't reserve one for me or anything, but if there is a space remaining, I might take it.
BTW back to Samantha for the next few updates, am working on them now...

Maisie pointed out earlier that I'd originally said September for an end, and no, that's totally not going to work, for you guys or for me either. I had to slow down my posting speed considerably since we started this project - but that's okay, because it also gives you guys a bunch more time.
Samantha will turn 35 in my hood in I think I said May of 2085, but this isn't really any hard rule. We can make it up and fudge around some dates. Even so, May of 2085 is another 18 months story time for me, which will likely take another 18 months real time at the rate I'm going. Considering it's taken us 9 months to get through 3 visits (and that's fine!), it could likely take us the whole 18 months to finish the rest. Or longer, even.
Basically, it's no big deal, she'll just be whatever age she's supposed to be when she finally gets back. If that ends up being 36 or 37, then so be it.
Task #2: We need to solidify those last three slots, and according to those who spoke up, this is what we'll do:
Age 27:
New Buckington (Shake) - 3 months
Ardania (Ts8v2/Tessa) - 9 months
Age 28:
Richmond, revisit - 6 months
Riverdale - 6 months
Sound good, everyone?

Another thought - would it be better for me to slot my "flash forwards" to current LH time (like the interviews, and soonish, her family will have some stories referring to her) into the current progression of stories? So that anyone reading along in the future can read them as we're reading them. I know there's only one right now (soon to be two), but there will be two more in my coming season, and the information disclosed (pretty significant info, really) could add something to how the reader experiences her past.
Or... maybe keep them at the end, like they are now? So that the reader experiences Samantha's past the way she did, with no knowledge of her family back home at all.
What do you think?

I'm still ok with my timeslot. Hoping that she will arrive in the beginning of 2011 since I have all my posts in the hopper for 2010. I've had to play ahead due to school :\
