I couldn't find what I desperately wanted in a Sims story forum. People seemed to want to chat in my story threads at various forums and in my comments section. I put the two together and came up with this. I don't really expect people to come here and stay. But if they do, and this turns into a living community, I'd like it to be a place of open and literate discussion on writing in general and using the Sims game as a writing medium in particular. I am the author of In the Valley of the Sun. Welcome to my neighborhood.

Hi, Stacy! I saw the link to this site on your blog and thought it kind of sounded familiar! For anyone else who doesn't know me, I'm the creator of Marooned On Tuesday (MoT, for short!), where right now I have my main story, "Runaway Train." I am 26, a mom, an avid writer, reader, photographer, nerd... You know, the good stuffs! Glad to be here! MM (or Kari, whichever!)

Hi! (I don't know whether to start a new thread, or just stay with this one). I think this is a great idea, and I hope it really takes off. I'll do my best to help it on my end. I'm Rachel, the author of The Edith Prescott Mystery Series, which can be found on my story blog, Rachel's Sim Stories (one day I hope to write other stories and post them there, but for now I can only think about Edith). I'm a 27-year old recovering academic with a ridiculously wonderful husband (he does laundry!) and two dogs. I like reading, watching massive amounts of television, and Simming, of course. I only recently began storyblogging using TS3 and it's taking over my life, but in a good way.

Hi! My name is Laura, author of Over the Rainbow. I love reading and writing. I began obsessively following sim stories a while back, and I have been wanting to write one for some time now. Of course, I love writing, reading, and sleeping. My favourite colour is purple, and I live in Canada. I tend to be sarcastic and as far as I know, I have a good sense of humour. I have a cat named Oreo and a dog named Aubree, along with fish, a bird, and a teddy bear hamster. I love animals. That's all I can think of for now. I hope this forum really takes off! I can't wait to dig in.

Despite my normal tendency to lurk, I think I would rather be supportive as this is one site I would love to see flourish. And the group gathered thus far seems to suit my sensibilities far more than on any other site I have ever visited. In a nutshell: Recently married, with four children (of the feline variety). Hobbies include reading, writing, riding (V-twin style), Sims, SciFi (I refuse to use their most recent nomenclature) and Showtime. Oh, and insomnia. Exciting, huh? My game play style has been completely Legacy-based since June 2nd, but set to my own rules, neither limited nor scored. Due to my husband’s lack of enthusiasm for the torture I personally oversee, I have recently ventured into the wide world of blogging. Misanthropic Meanderings

My name is Catherine and I am absolutely tickled because this is the first time EVER that I have been able to register on a forum with just my first name. Usually, on Sims forums, I am called "CatherineSimmer", so if you know her, yeah, that's me. I can't remember exactly when I started playing the Sims, but I do know it was about halfway through the Sims 1 installments, so that gives you an idea. I only just recently entered the wild and wonderful world of Sims blogging. My major project right now is " A Learnin' Legacy" (the DeCasim family), which is a plotless legacy written for the purpose of sharing game tips as we all get started in TS3. I also have a small side project on my LiveJournal, featuring Agnes Crumplebottom expressing comical opinions. Although my primary interest is in Sims photography, I love a well-written Sims story. I am thrilled that Misty/Stacy started this forum. I am looking forward to "hanging out" with people who are producing high-quality creative work with the Sims games.

You can make your own threads, you know. Or at least I hope so. Speaking of that, anyone want to be a mod or admin? *desperately tries to give away position of authority and responsibility* I'm glad that you all came, and sorry that I haven't been posting here. The aforesaid authority and responsibility terrify me. But hey. I have some Deep Thoughts on Valley that I want to share and see if anyone else has Deep Thoughts about their stories, and I figure I probably won't get that much of a response elsewhere. And if I want this to actually be a decent community, I have to actually post and stuff. So welcome! And you are all very cool people and I love you and I hope that if you didn't already know each other and read each other's stories you will now.

Aw, thanks, Stacy! I think we've already made ourselves comfortable in this thread. Feels like home to me!
