This seriously deserves it's own thread I think, because it will require some play and testing. Has anyone seen this? The first post contains a document that has all of the effects possible (most likely). Apparently it can emulate anything in the game even down to ambrosia sparkles and seagulls. So I played with it last night, and wow! It's probably not good for anything other than stories right now, but it's pretty awesome. For the fire, no one ran over to it, no one seemed to see it and they were standing around the corner. That last picture shows you how far out the fire was. I didn't look inside the building to see if it was raining inside too. My favorite effect: Some effects loop and some only play once. So far I found that rain, snow and the fire lasted until I told them not too, but I didn't extensively test this.

Wow, a story-teller's dream!!! Can't wait to play with it. Looks like weather will be with us in the next EP then...

Snow, rain, and fire...wow... Well, the configurations for weather are there in the base game always has been, but I suppose it's been disabled or something. Maybe Ambitions or a combination of some other things and everything put together unlocked the weather configurations? Hmmm, weather...I never liked Seasons for TS2 though, well the concept of them getting really cold and really hot stricken bugged me even with the help of mods. It's nice nonetheless for storylines.

Yay! I think TS3 has (or can be modded to do) all the things I wanted now, apart from chemistry. Maybe I'll work on buying it soon. I'm trying to think of ways to convince hubby a new gaming computer would be a good investment, lol!

A gaming computer is always a good investment. *nods seriously* I like the idea of starting you a petition. I think others might agree with me, unless they think that means the end of Lakeside.
TS3 is a surprisingly versatile game. Modders have been able to do so much more it seems, aside from animation hacks.

I just might put up a petition, lol! Even besides the gaming part of it, I only have like 3 GB of space left on the drive! I can barely even take any more pictures of my kid! But then, I recall that he said I could buy one after I finish my novel, so maybe I'll just get cracking on that. I'm aiming for September anyway, so that's not so long to wait, and I'm totally going to make him pay out on that promise! *gets back to work*

Lunar, ha! I was SO called "the responsible one" in high school! No joke! But really, I just know myself enough to know that if I get a new gaming computer and Sims 3 before I finish this novel, then it's not getting finished, lol! I'll consider it my prize. Work hard, play hard!
