Stupid Question!? Please help

So everyone can take pics of their family trees/family portraits that you can only access in pause mode.. how do you guys manage this? I've tried and get thin air lol

With Windows.

How I do it is I have paint or whatever similar programme you may use open in the background like photoshop or gimp or something. I personally use paint cos it is free with the computer.
Then in game you open up the family tree, move the cursor out of the way and press the "print screen" button on the keyboard . It's usually at the end of the F keys. And is sometimes abreviated to "PrtScn"
Wait a second or two before re-entering your paint/similar programme and paste it into there, and you can do what you like with it.
Basically it just takes a picture of whatever is showing on the monitor at the time
It also means you can screen shots of anything you like in game, like pop-ups or things like that.

Mac users

I'm assuming mac users will know what it means

to save it to a file " shift-command-3 "
to save to clipboard so it can pasted wherever @ control-shift-command-3 "
