I kept forgetting to create a new babble thread in this forum. D: This is the babble for my two current stories Those Among Us and REVERSE. I'll also babble a bit about my short stories as well. I also have a " writing journal". I'm picspamming it to death at the moment, but I also have some serious entries strewn in as well. So welcome!

I posted a new chapter for Reverse last night. It's a strange one. I hope that I'm not confusing anyone with all the details about that night. I can give a rundown of what has been revealed if anyone wants.
Leighton is hard to pin down as a character. He's so darn flighty. He thinks so little of himself while others seem to enjoy him.

Decided to update here instead of on my journal. REVERSE's new chapter is a small break from the Hank-driven dramafest. I wanted to show that Leighton has many more problems in his life than what I have been focusing on in the last chapters. *SPOILERS* Chandra reminds me of Tamara for obvious reasons. They are actually good friends, so they tend to gossip and feed each other information. This is why they're so similar. Leighton loves his son unconditionally, but wonders if he's the best match for him. Chandra has enough money to buy Sam anything he wants, but he wonders if she has Sam's best interests at heart. It's kind of like a broken puzzle. As for how Leighton and Hank's sister got together, well...That's a secret (for now). /*SPOILERS* Now, back to your regularly scheduled Hank-driven dramafest.

I'm still alive, you guys. I just wanted to pop in and say that I'm not on hiatus or anything. I just can't update as soon as I would like to because of my current living situation. I will say that I should probably be able to update both stories + finish one of the short ones in early November after I finally purchase my new laptop. I'm so excited about it, haha. I can't wait to finally try out Ambitions and get my hands on Late Night~ Right now, I'm just filling in some plot holes and writing out the new chapters. I'm also working on a story I plan to start right after I finish 'Those Among Us' late next year. That's about it.

I'm so glad to hear from you and to hear that your stories are still on track! You sound a bit more cheerful, and that's wonderful!

It's the new laptop (and prospect of not having to keep pushing the power cord into the socket to prevent the computer from turning off) talking, haha. Personally, I'm still as miserable as ever. Bleh.
But at least I have something to look forward to! And I'm enjoying getting to know my characters more (when I'm not doing schoolwork), so that's always fun.
Well, I guess I am doing a little beter. Just a little.

Aww, thank you. C: Just wanted to update again. I'm halfway done with the latest update to Those Among Us and I just started the update for REVERSE. Juggling my stories with going to school full time is fun. TAU is coming along nicely. I'm beginning to get into the "nitty gritty" of the plot now. Reverse is also hitting the good stretch of plot. Prepare for more drama from Miss Chandra!

It's funny how the story I was going to end a few months ago is now my favorite. I was at the end of my rope with 'REVERSE' due to a bad case of writer's block and planned to secretly end it, but I made myself carry on. I'm glad I did. I really like where I'm going with it and I hope everyone else does as well. Right now, I'm at the same crossroads with TAU, but I'm not thinking about ending it. I just have to rework the plot since I've gotten off track again. (Oh why don't I just make it easy for myself and follow the darn outlines I made a while back? ) All I will say is that there may not be an (official) update for a little bit. I am working on stand-alone stories in the "universe" to kick some creativity back into the story. Like I mentioned on my official writing lj a while back, what is making it so difficult to write is that I veered dangerously off-track with the whole Gregory "subplot". I'm not saying that he isn't important or anything, but the story IS about Claire trying to find her parents murders. Now it's just about her trying to avoid Greg and trying to persuade Dallas to talk about the police chief. I guess I could say that it isn't that much off-track, but I'm a perfectionist and I like nitpicking, haha. I want to get back into the whole "urban legend" aspect of the story. That's what I'm really interested in. I guess I will decide what to do eventually. But for now, enjoy some short stories about Claire's family, Leonard, and maybe even Gregory.

I have so many story ideas swirling around in my head right now. It's hard to keep track of them all. I have the basic ideas of the two stories that will replace Reverse and TAU when I'm finally finished with them and I'm working on getting some background information down for both. They're both going to deal a bit with homelessness and the "underbelly" of society.
I'm also working on the next chapter of Reverse. and I'm worried that the chapter will become too long. Initially, I wanted all chapters of the story to be around 500 words each. I almost hit the goal with the first chapter (504 words), but now the average length is around....750 words.
Yeah. I'm going to try to cut down on the wordiness and just get the basic points across with as little as possible. It's kind of hard to because Leighton can ramble a lot sometimes.

I'm finally 80% done with the final draft of the next chapter of Reverse (named "screaming"). I would finish it by 3pm here (it's 12 pm now), but writing this chapter has been very...emotionally draining. There's just so many emotions going on with Leighton and everything.
This is the first time I've been so emotionally involved in writing. I think I have just crossed a writing threshold or something, lol.

Happy (Belated) Birthday REVERSE! It's so sad that I only pushed out seven chapters in an entire year, but it's okay. I won't be (too) harsh on myself. I hope to finish this story in the next upcoming year so I can start posting the story I'm planning out now. To commemorate this, I have a birthday story coming out soon. C: I'll probably post it on my short stories blog since it can stand alone on its own.

Considering all you've gone through this past year, seven chapters is actually pretty decent.
