I feel kind of stupid posting here about this, because my story isn't brilliant or fancy or anything. I actually feel kind of unworthy to angst about this, to be honest. You are all so nice and wise though, so here goes.
Warning: Vague Spoilers and Whining
I have been working on my first legacy story thing since last May, and I am getting very close to the end of the story arc for this generation. I need to write two more updates.
The next update I need to make the protagonist and his love interest rekindle their flame as well as review some earlier plot points and concepts from the beginning of the story. Then I need to write the final chapter where the protagonist learns the secret of his parents disappearance and he finally gets his girl.
Should be easy right?
The problem is time and energy. For all of this last month and until the next month, work is insanely busy. I've been pulling 10-12 hour extremely stressful days, and my commute is about an hour each way.
I've had some family issues that I've needed to spend time and energy addressing when I am at home. I also sprained my wrist and it hurt to type for a week.
Lately when I sit down to write, I'm so fried that my brain shuts off. If I get work done on my story, it is because I stayed up too late, making me exhausted the next day. I don't even have time to be writing this post.
So the good news is that my work project ends on 10/31. But then I'm going to go to Argentina for 2 weeks. (I'm really excited about this, actually).
I'm wondering what to do about my blog though? I am thinking I have three options:
1. Should I just stop? (This would make me feel like a total loser failure, I'm so close to the end, I can see it).
2. Should I just pick it back up when I can (I might be able to get something out by mid October, and then again by mid November?)
3. Should I just post summaries of how the story ends, and then write it out later when I can?
I know everyone gets busy and stressed out. Any advice about how I should handle my story, or time management would be most appreciated. In any case, thanks for listening and apologies for whining.
