When replacing CC in the game do I need to put the Mods folder back? In the same place? I reinstalled the game on the E drive but all the saves etc are still being chucked in the C drive against my wishes (sigh) - the old mods folder has been taken out altogether and I'm not sure where to put it now...
Right. Game installed and loaded. Time to play!!

Looks like the mod folder now goes in the new directory for WA which should be in the same place as the original folder. Should be called TheSims3WorldAdventures.

EDIT: I tried this www.sims3fanatics.com/news/world-adventures/handling-mods-with-world-adventures/and it works fine though I've taken out the no mosaic mod as apparently it screws up a lot of other things in WA. Am really enjoying WA so far. Trying not to do everything there just yet because I want sims with WA LTWs and if I explore everything with my current sims it'll be very boring to play through the LTWs with future generations, but I am sending some of the current Dayes in there to do bits and pieces like cooking, collecting (shudder) and fishing as well as a leeetle bit of exploration. I want to take it slow rather than use up all the goodies in the first few weeks of owning it. It makes everything run slower though, I've noticed. I like that they can carry on skill building while they're there and I'm intrigued to see what it'll be like to own property. Did you know: teens can visit there alone. That was pretty cool to find out.

World Adventures is very fun and was worth all the drama I had getting the dang game to patch. It has been keeping me entertained for a good two (real) hours.
However, the lag and freezing is pretty much unbearable (even with all of the graphics settings on low). I think I'll need to uninstall until I get a new desktop early next year. (I don't think my laptop's integrated graphics chip can handle this one.) It's sad because I was really having fun with the game.
Ah well. I can go back to my regular sims in regular ol' Sunset Valley & Riverview.

I have a laptop as well...so memory is the devil and a slow cpu Hell. There is no getting World Adventures for me, but I'll enjoy it from whoever uses its exciting extras in their stories. ;D

I'd really like to get World Adventures, but I'm reluctant to because of the way the patch screwed up my game (I can't change active households, and my Sims' aging gets weird whenever they age up or change their hair or clothes). I don't have any custom content, and I didn't have any mods prior to installing the patch. If my game got weird just from the patch, I'm afraid of what adding the new expansion might do. I may wait until I'm done with my Avalon legacy to install it... but that's likely to be a long time :/
