The Spoon Theory written by Christine Miserandino << Article to read It's become very much a part of my language, and I thought I'd better explain it before everyone gets confused. The good thing about this is, it makes sense. And you don't have to be horribly disabled, for it to make sense. And sometimes we don't have spoons because we're down or anxious or pregnant or going through some real life experience that is sucking us dry. And being able to say - 'I don't have the spoons' is a freeing thing for me. And I'm explaining it here, because I realised that I posted on Laura's thread about not having enough spoons.

This was wonderful. I have a friend from high school who suffered from Lupus, and given all she was able to do, it's amazing to me how she must have spent her spoons...
