Disapearing books

I had just created a new Barnacle Bay and moved a Sim in and was taking her to the library and noticed there was absolutely no books on the shelves, I went to the bookshop to buy them and there are no buyable books.

I switched to the Pink's and their library is still intact, but they also cannot buy books in the bookshop, but they can sell existing ones.

I checked in a new Sunset Valley and neither the library or book shop are stocked, but in an existing Riverview the library works, but not the book shop.

I removed all mods and downloads etc and still the same problem, existing hoods have library books, but new ones don't and neither has any shop books.

I'm fully updated to 5.2 but don't have Late Night.

I don't know how long the problem could ahve been happenning, it must ahve been after the Pink's moved to BB, which has before the patch, but I hadn't needed to shop for books before that.

Any idea on how to fix it?
I tried internet searching but couldn't find anything.

Well disappearing books are the least of problems now. I opened up the game and absolutly none of the hoods work, new or existing, with or without cc/mods. And I'm pretty sure the only way to fix that is to re-install.

Finally worked out what was causing all the problems, typical it was the last thing I removed because it's one of my favourites - booksallbuyable - where you can buy all the vacation skills,recipes,fish etc at home. Atleast I can play properly again.
