Ok, so even though I don't have the money, I have been looking at previews for Late Night and it looks so fun, so I am breaking down and going to buy it tomorrow. But I was wondering how I can download it without erasing all of my content / legacy? I remember in the past when I would upload a new expansion pack it would erase all of my past played gaming and I would have to start over. Does it still do that? Or should I be able to install it and everything still be there? Thanks.

Rename the Sims 3 folder in the My Documents folder before you install the new ep, then delete the new Sims 3 folder and rename the old folder the proper name again. That's what I do just to be on the safe side. You might also want to make a copy of the save pre-install so in case you change your mind and something doesn't work, you can easily go back to the old save.

I always back everything up to a second place on my HD and an external HD but I've never had installing a game wipe out save files...

lunar I did what you suggested and it worked great! Rad I know that it shouldn't, but for some reason when I installed WA it wiped out my files from reg sims. So I don't know.

WA and Amb. didn't affect my game files. Do you all think that my game will be affected when I install LN?

No, but back everything up just in case.
