I've actually been thinking about that and what would be the best way so that anyone can participate no matter TS2 or TS3. (Though, uhm, a sim of myself? LOL!)

Purely optional - if it weirds you out to have a sim-self of people you know in-game, or yourself - feel free to ignore it.

If you have a sim that is recognisably a 'sim' of yours (e.g. Stacy's Seth) you can use that instead. (I hope that makes sense?)

If you are like me and Lunar and would love to be in a house together (but personally I wish we could do it in RL, so Sims is the next best thing) then feel free to join in.

Because they are Sim-selves. There are a few things that make it easier for people to share. Most of these are self-evident, but it's better to spell it out and leave no-one in doubt.

1. Don't share their sims anywhere else without permission.

2. Read their preferences, and stick to them if you're going to upload any pictures.

3. Be thoughtful about what you're ok with, and not ok with. If you can't bear the thought of your sim dying - say so. If you don't want them to hook up with anyone but X, say that too.

4. We'll take it as read, that nudity and sim-porn is out. Sim-Porn is not ok here - regardless. Nudity needs to be on the ok list, and even then - ask before posting.

Apart from that - use common sense!

You know, this might be a good opportunity for me to test something I've been wanting to try. I don't have a functioning BodyShop, but I do have SimPE, so in theory, I could export my (very inaccurate) sim-self and offer the .package file for download.

BUT, to be on the safe side, I'm going to wait until the next time I go in-game, so I can put her in Maxis-attire (I can't imagine SimPE would package up all the CC nicely), so I won't be able to post her here until some time tomorrow

But as a sneak preview, I ended up casting my sim-self in my entry for Sim Haven's September Challenge. She plays the mysterious woman--I figured it was a bit tongue-in-cheek, seeing as I don't always treat my characters all that well

She doesn't actually look much like me. Without BodyShop, the best way I could get a decent basis for the face was by breeding Nora and Aldhein in CAS

TS2 sucks for body shapes though.

I have a self-sim kicking around somewhere in some dusty corner, I used it in a story once. It was an initial shock to see my sort-of self running around the 'hoods, but after I got used to it, it was a real kick!

Heheh... I'd been missing 'Rigo, so that's how he got the lead in that piece. I have no immediate plans for him, but I'm definitely keeping his Sim around. Maybe I'll give him a cameo in Orbis Umbra if a bit role comes up there, since both THIV and OU were/are shot in Pleasantview.

If anyone would like me to TS3-ify their sim selves, let me know! I'd be all to happy to. Likewise- would anyone like to TS2-ify me? I might give it a try, but I've honestly never been good at making TS2 sims. (Tht's why I avoided it for so long and only played born in game sims!)

This was actually really fun! I haven't made a Sim of myself since the game first game out, like four years ago. I don't have TS3, so there's only this version. But if somebody wants to attempt a TS3 version of her, feel free!


Even my Self Sim is all like, "What, you want to take a picture of me?" *goes to ball up on a couch* lol!

(And on a side note, I just threw together this tiny little corner of a room to take pictures in, and now I want to do a real room with gray walls and white candles!...)

I hardly even have any pictures of myself, so this was kind of hard to do. I swear I got the features right, and the face shape, but somehow she still doesn't really look like me. She kind of looks like me, except she's cute, lol! I don't know, it's kind of hard to make Sims not look cute.


Body size is the ummm, the "bigger" one, lol! And hubby will testify that the boobs really are that big!

She's packaged with CC, and if you don't want it you can use the clean installer. She comes with skintone, eyes, hair, her clothes and a little bit of makeup.

If you want to use your own stuff - hair is normally in a ponytail of some kind, except for the rare occasion that I wear it down, and then it's sort of wavy/curly, shoulder-length. Clothing is almost always some kind of super-cute tank top, and either jeans or yoga pants. In the summertime maybe a long skirt or sundress. No heels, lol! Prefers to be barefoot or in flip-flops. Wish Sims could paint their toenails... (do Sims even have toenails? lol!)

I would doll up for a date though. And since I'm a pleasure Sim, you'd better get me out on some dates


You'll have to add the piercings yourself, since they couldn't be packaged with the Sim. This last picture is mostly to show off that I managed to approximate my big hornking pointy nose, lol!

Body state: "larger". The CC I picked approximates it better than most. Some of them look oddly disproportionate. I'm no little girl, but I'm pretty proportional... except for the rack, lol!

Okay, here's Sim Van as she currently appears in my game:

Anyway, I don't have a working BodyShop, so I couldn't package her and all her CC up in a nice Sims2pack. Instead, she's a CC-free .package file exported from SimPE, so I have no idea if you'll be able to get her to show up in your game or not. I would suggest putting her in your Saved Sims folder first; if that doesn't work, try Downloads. The file can be found here.

She doesn't really look much like me. A little moreso in game, I think, since I have a horrifically round face and the default aspect ratio of my computer tends to stretch my Sim pictures (the routing for the in-game camera doesn't always work for me, so I just take screenshots).

Anyway, the vitals...

If you stretch your Sims, I'm about 5'4" (yes, I know, I'm short), so go with whatever stretch would be around that in your game (for me, a stretch of 1 = 5'10"). If you want to approximate builds and have the clothing that allows for it, I'm quite hourglassy--smallish waist with a relative lot of T&A.

Anyway, Sim Van should show up in CAS with your default S1 and your default green eyes, whatever they happen to be, as well as base game clothing and hair. If you want the CC I'm using, feel free to ask for linkage.

Also, the hair, as you can tell from the pictures with CC, is actually a very dark brown--but for some reason, most creators bin hair that's anywhere near my color as black, so that's why the CC-free version has black hair.

Is there anything you prefer your sim NOT to do?
I can't imagine it would be much fun to be any sort of supernatural--vampires, plantsims, etc. That's just my preference, though; it's your game

Feel free to do whatever you want with her. I'm straight, but that doesn't mean that the sim has to be Feel free to breed her, whore her out, kill her off, age her up or down, gender-bend her, whatever... err, providing that the file actually works

I snagged Van Sim, I hope to go into my game after lunch, I will let you know if she works. I think I have a place for her! We can use these sims in our stories, am I right?

here are the 4 sims I snagged for my Sims 2 game, Laura, Lunar, Kiri and a sort-of version of Van.

Van, your sim showed up, but every time I clicked on a skin, your face morphed into the sim who belonged to that skin, does that make sense? I never saw that before. So I picked a skin that sort of had your features. You are in the short aqua and white number. Dressed you all to fit the retro era of my story.



Here is Lorcan Byrne, from Crime Story, Laura seems bemused, Kiri is suitably impressed...

Kiri wastes no time, she immediately grabs on and gives him a major back hug. Van gives Lorcan a sunny, indulgent smile.
