I know plenty of people that just have Myspace, or just have Facebook. I also know quite a bit that have both. I just have my Myspace because, well, I love the customization! (Can't you tell I like to decorate and customize everything!? You should really see my sims homes... ) I've been with a friend who logged into her Facebook and it was (in my opinion) a little blah. It reminded me a little bit of Twitter-Meets-Myspace-Meets-Blog. I got dizzy looking at all of the status comments of her friends, and her friends' friends. What are your thoughts?

I have a Facebook. It's all right - I mostly play games on it. And my half-brother recently friended me and it's all creepy and weird. Like the other day my status was "can't die, don't want some two bit hack finishing Valley for me." and he commented with "LOL." and it was soooo creepy. And then he sent me a PM about his girls (he has four daughters - the oldest is like seven or something) and it was all concrete and now and simple sentence structure and just...creepy. He's 12 years older than me and moved back in with his father when I was two, so we didn't grow up together. And he is mentally ill and has had some really scary episodes around me, but the last time I saw him he seemed fairly sane. But still.... And we're total opposites when it comes to politics and religion, but then I've already had to clean that stuff out of my profile when people from work started friending me. On the other hand, nearly everyone I went to high school with and have found and friended turned out totally awesome. I'm proud. Go North Surry class of 99! I guess I'm kind of the opposite - I think MySpace looks weird.

I'm not really a fan of MySpace. I find the layout over there way too busy. But then again, me and social media sites don't tend to mix too well.
I agree with your description of facebook. Not a fan of twitter either, although everyone seems to be getting a twitter these days.
I did have a facebook. Mostly played yoville with a couple of people on there.
My partner describes both facebook and twitter as "mindless drivel". My short time using it, I did try to instigate some serious conversation about global warming but no one seemed interested in anything other than how many beers they had chugged the night before.
It was all a bit ridiculous and I got rid of it in the end.

I have both--I started out a MySpace person, but now I hardly ever go there anymore and mostly stay on Facebook. I think I have a Twitter account, but I never use it (I have a friend who loves social networking sites). My Facebook contains a lot of family and high school friends along with the people I hang out most with now, so I, too, censor some of what I say. I get into political arguments with my mother-in-law. I go through phases where I'm super vigilant of the comments and stuff, and participate in debates, and times like now when I just check it to see if anything pressing is going on and leave almost immediately (retracting into my little hermit-crab shell).

I've got coworkers and family and old high school pals on my Myspace as well. And I've set mine up to just say "Certified Photographer" as opposed to the company I work for. A few of the other store managers that are on my friends list have the company listed, and that just creeps me out. My own store manager had to make her page less risque for fear of retribution from the company in case they came snooping. Yet our district manager has half naked men all over her page, so go fig. I've been logging into Myspace like crazy because I'm hooked on the Vampire Wars game. Hpw sad is that!

I love Facebook and Twitter, although for very different reasons: FB for keeping up with people, Twitter for conversations about TV, current affairs and misellaneous nonsense. I never understood MySpace.

I hate Facebook, but I have one to keep up with some highschool buddies. I'm a Myspace person and shall stay that way. As for Twitter..........nope. All the sites are copying the Myspace/Facebook style nowadays. Like Playlist.com, for instance, now has writing walls and message centers...uhhhh why? I'm just there to listen to music. Then there's VampireFreaks and FaithFreaks.......the undead vs. religious. Who will win? I rather not know.
