So hey, who wants to steal more LJ ideas? LOL. It's just that I've been waiting a year and a half or so since being nominated for a storyteller spotlight interview on simstorytellers and I don't think it's going to happen, even if the feature does get started again. So I thought - hey, why not do it here? But of course, I want everyone to be included. So - we could post some general questions in this thread, and then...hmm...people could copy and paste the questions into their babble threads and answer them there if they wanted? Thoughts? Or instead, we could just post the questions as their own thread in the creative process forum and everyone could post their answers to the question in the same place - that might be more organized and participatory. Yeah - I like that idea. Do you think a thread per question or all questions in the same thread? Or do you want to do it the more traditional way, with one person at a time answering all the questions? But I don't know how to pick that one person without leaving people out and hurting feelings. Anyone got any question suggestions? Here's the last interview I found on the LJ comm, as an example. Swhedonberry interview

I like the idea of the interviews, and I love the idea of doing them simultaneously. Plus, participation would be voluntary. Maybe we could put them wherever and just link to it.
Were there standard questions that were asked of everyone?

I like the idea of interviews too Hmmm... what if the interviews had a sub-board in the Creative Process board, and then everyone could start their own thread there if they wanted to? And then after the person has answered the standard questions, other people could continue to add their own questions to the thread after the fact?

One further though - I love the idea of everyone being included, but I also love the idea of everyone having individual attention. I just envision all 50-something of us active and semi-active members all posting our threads, then before we know it, none of us actually have time to read the things, and everyone gets lost in the shuffle.
What if we all signed up for weekly slots? (Or assign them randomly, or alphabetically, or whatever.) Then an admin could post a new thread in our "spotlight folder" (or wherever) for the interviewee for the week. Then the interviewee could go and answer their standard questions, everyone can read and ask more questions, and for that week they actually get to be in the spotlight for real?
Because they're weekly, I'd be pretty confident that we'd get to everyone who wanted to participate. And having them staggered like that would mean everybody gets time to prepare what they want to say and ask ahead of time, so we can make the best of their "spotlight week".
Just an idea though. Feel free to veto it if it's stupid, lol!

I do love all of this - it's very cool. I'm good with whatever we go with.

I like it - 12 Questions for the mosaic - and I think, answering in long hand as well. Here are my 2 questions: 1. How did you start writing, i.e. What happened that made you realise that writing was your thing? 2. What's your absolute favourite story

3. What do you eat/drink while writing? 4. Who is your favourite character in fiction? 5. Who is your favourite character of your own?

Oh I love that idea! I can't think of any questions at the moment, but I'm really liking these questions.

I love this idea! Here are some questions:
-"Do you have any hobbies and/or talents outside of writing?" -"How do you like to handle romantic relationships in your story? Do you have a general approach, or is the approach tailored to the characters?"
