This is a story about a British man named Collin Smith with the incredible ability to connect with the souls of the dead who is assigned to act as a bodyguard to a young woman named Julie Tanner upon the request of the FBI in the near future where people with superhuman abilities exist. He gets caught up in a conspiracy where people are likely to wind up dead and finds out more about his past, as he discovers that his abilities are almost godlike in nature.
And certainly, otherworldly forces are at work here. Whether they are good or bad remains to be seen.
