Hiya Monday Morning! I just commented on Chapter 6 on your blog, but I was thinking about something else that I thought would be better asked here. Why isn't Rex going after Clarissa's family? When Clarissa saw Tam with her grandmother, she was understandably alarmed, and so I guess you are bringing up that possibility, but I'm wondering why he hasn't played that ace yet. I can imagine several reasons why Rex wouldn't harm her family, but I was just wondering if I'm missing what it is (if it's hinted at or contained in the story and I've overlooked it). I think that he's holding it as a last-ditch option only to be taken if he can't find her by a certain time. Or maybe he's worried that her family is too high-profile, and even he can't evade an investigation if anything happened to them. Anyway, if you're going to reveal this to us later, just say "wait and see" and I'll shut up.

Ha ha! Glad you asked! Why? Because it's one of those loop holes I hadn't even noticed! I was going to go into the fact that Tam was there with her grandmother (as sort of a miens to find out where Clarissa had disappeared to). I do like the idea that her family would be too high-profile to go after, especially if they attend parties like the mayor's. That, and Clarissa is the heir to the Barrings' fortune. Rex is going to come into play very soon, if not Chapter Seven, then Chapter Eight. When that happens, I may write from his point of view to fill in the holes that I've so obviously dug! I'd like to bring in Fox and Liam again, and Jonas (the lawyer). You've given me quite a bit to think about! That can be the problem sometimes when you wing it! You just go with the flow, and then after a while, you look at what you've done, and you're like, "What!? Who is that and how was that even possible?!"

Well, I thought you were just being cagey, and that you'd let us know soon enough why Rex was pulling that particular punch.

I do think I mentioned (or rather, Rex mentioned) that he was going to wait until Clarissa came to him with the stone. As if he could be patient! I really need to touch on him some more, hm? I mean, you can only control the city through money and violence for so long, and almost seven weeks have gone by since Clarissa has gone missing. You'd think he'd have resources (ie cronies) all over the place looking for her--and in way, I've touched on that. (I hope!? -cringe-) I've been so focused on the bazillion other characters that I've forgotten the head honcho. And I thought I was his biggest fan... Geez. What kind of fangirl am I...

Dear MM, Runaway Train is the first story I've read since joining the Valley Sun Sims this morning. It is a wonderful read! You tell the story in a clear and crispy way and enhance it with the most stunning pictures. You also seamlessly go forwards, backwards and sideways in the time line. That is truly inspiring. I left a comment with every chapter. The first one is probably awkward - I signed it with my wordpress id before I noticed one can just simply put a name as well. Sorry about that. It's a fabulous story, MM, and you have come to a point where you can literally take it anywhere you like. Whichever way you choose to go, it will be a classic! I eagerly await hearing the eerie whistle of that locomotive again and have included you in my blogroll in the meantime.

OMG! I am so sorry everyone for being a shadow! My hiatus from the game lasted longer than I had expected, and as I stated on MOT earlier in the week, I lost my job. But, the good news is, I am finally getting around to posting my short piece, "The Deal!" The first part is up. I broke it into two separate pieces because of the amount of pictures involved. And to be honest, I limited myself to the amount! I could have just snapped away and left the text to its own devices, but I couldn't NOT add the heart of my story! I cannot apologize enough for making you all wait forever! Darn real life, sometimes!

Thanks, Moondaisy! Woo! I just put Part Two up! Let me just say, I am so glad I overshot when I did! I completely lost the world I was using for the story, as well as the sims themselves! Thank goodness I saved the screenshots in a backup folder! I also apologize for the color change. The photos were edited at different times so... Nobody's perfect.
