Hey there, everyone! I'm, like, TOTALLY new here - I just found you last night and I seriously don't remember how I did. I'm pretty sure it was at least 2:00am and I was totally "knackered", as a dear friend of mine would say... I actually had to get a password reminder this morning because I couldn't remember which one I'd put in... ;D
Aaaanyway...
I'm WebbyMom, or just Webby, if you like. I've been sort of looking for a sims writing community for awhile, so you can imagine my joy at coming across you guys!
Storytelling is one of my most favourite parts of the Sims. I started with Sims 2 and I'm now onto Sims 3. I have a new blog home for The Tangled Webby (link in my siggy) that has yet to be populated with new stories, but I also have a bunch of stories at
thetangledwebby.blogspot.com/
and some older Sims 2 and 3 stories at
www.thetangledwebby.com/oldsite/index.php/general-stories
"A Kiss to Forget" is one of my fave's, partly because I actually finished it. ;D But I really got into those characters and the story, as well. It holds a special place in my heart.
I'm a creator (and web host/web designer/all-around-web-girl) at www.sims3musketeers.com, where me and my two wonderful simming buddies that I love dearly upload homes, community lots, and other things for the Sims3. We were just hacked about a week ago and everything was erased, so we're re-building. We should be ready for launch in the next day or so!
I really DO love writing. I have two novels that need just a tad more polishing before I attempt to submit them for publishing - one of them inspired by a Sims 2 story I wrote eons ago, Montrose Moon. The Sims has given me a really neat outlet for my desire to write, although I do tend to take my writing with Sims a bit more casually than I would with something I really wanted to publish! ;D I write for me, really, but then I find folks like it and I'm all, like, "What??? You liked that? Wow, is that ever cool!" ;D
In "real life", I'm a web designer, mom of four great kids, and wife of one great husband who owns his own home construction company (I'm also part owner and I do the website and typing estimates and contracts and stuff). I live to learn - and I have tons of books to back that claim up! - but if I could do it, I'd prefer to make my living from playing and creating with the Sims. Bwaa-haaaaaaa!
I see there are fairly new intros here from a couple of people I know from hanging out at Living Sims - Ballarose and Velvet - maybe I'll know even more of you. (Come to think of it - maybe I found you via one of their sites, for all I know! LOL) In any case, I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and reading your stuff and sharing some of mine.
