7. One Word That Describes Me: LATE
8. What's your absolute favourite story? The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
9. Tell us about yourself - What you do for a living: Full time wannabe cat lady and Oscar Wilde stan
10. What have you written so far - and where can we find it (URL/Publication)?
Those Among Us: bookofadam.wordpress.com
REVERSE: facethepast.wordpress.com
Short Stories: hirolin.wordpress.com
11. How did you start writing, i.e. What happened that made you realise that writing was your thing? Sonic the Hedgehog fanfiction. I’m dead serious (sadly).
12. How long does it usually take you to prepare a story update? Somewhere between…2-3 months. (I’m really slow!)
Longhand Questions:
1. Why did you start creating and posting sim stories? I grew bored with the whole legacy thing (not saying that legacies are boring or anything!). I was amazed to find out that people were actually crafting stories around their sims and not just posting funny captions what happened in the game. The idea intrigued me and…here I am now.
2. How far do you plan storylines in advance? I try to plan fairly far ahead in the story, but nothing is set in stone. The plot usually twists and turns and ends up nothing like what I planned.
3. Do your characters have their own theme songs? YES.
Claire Watson – “Bedtime Story” – Madonna
Leonard Baptiste – “Nothing Really Matters” – Madonna
James Watson – “Stitches” – Orgy
Gregory Albright – “Carnation Crime” – Lucifer
Leighton Sekemoto – “Sacrifice” – Atsushi Sakurai
4. How emotionally attached are you to your characters? I’m sadly attached to all of them, haha. Even the pre-made EA characters I didn’t make!
5. Have you ever written something that you really wish you could change when you look back at it? Yes! This is why Those Among Us and REVERSE are reworked versions of two stories I started posting back when I first started writing sims stories. I try my best to keep my expectations for my stories high, but sometimes I make mistakes. This is why I shouldn’t post my first drafts.
6. Do you usually create backstories for your characters? All of my characters have heavy backstories. I love doing it since it helps me understand the motives behind each character. Now letting said motives shine through in my writing…is another story. I’m working on it!
7. Were you ever surprised at a character's popularity among your fanbase? Yes! I’ve noticed that Leonard Baptiste is a fan favorite. I guess people like characters who are shallow and petty. He’s a personal favorite of mine, so I can’t talk about anyone.
8. Can you give us any hints about what is coming up in your stories? (Oh, come on...) Sure!
Those Among Us: Claire will delve deeper into the legend surrounding her father and come up with more questions than answers.
REVERSE: Leighton’s control over his life will begin to spiral even further out of control.
I’m also planning two other stories. One deals with the trials of a homeless gay prostitute trying to survive on the streets of Bridgeport and is based on a Greek legend. (Greek mythology geek here!)
The other deals with a group of young men trying to overthrow the authoritative iron fist of a school for wayward boys while struggling to stay alive themselves. A few characters from a current story are featured. c:
