Uh...hi! I write the Edith Prescott Mystery Series, and it is posted on my story blog ( Rachel's Sims Stories). Right now I'm on Story 3, and I've listed the links to the Table of Contents for each story below: Story 1Story 2Story 3I'll bump for updates (I'll probably link to specific chapters in my bumps) but I think just linking to the Table of Contents for each story will make it easier for people who are beginning the series, or who aren't able to follow it closely and have to catch up in clumps of chapters. Anyway, if you choose to read my story, I hope you like it. If you already read it--thank you so much!

Chapter 19 is up. It was a beast. I had to do more with the images than I usually do, and the words just weren't coming easily. I'm not entirely happy with it, but one of my worst faults as a writer is my impatience, so I pushed through. *sigh*

Chapter 20 is up. It's huge....a lot of information. Probably too much, but it seemed right at the time....

When you say "Mystery Series", I am seriously, seriously hoping that you MEAN it and there will be more Edith Prescott stories after this one. I know one will not be enough for me. Would be kind of cool, too, if some of the characters we've met in this installment (cough nickandsean cough) would be recurring characters, too. Unless they turn out to be the killers in the first story, that is.

Catherine: You're so nice!! The plan is certainly to make this a mystery series--meaning that this is just the first mystery that Edith Prescott will involve herself in. Whether Nick and Sean will be a part of that series....well....

Chapter 22 is up! For some reason, I thought it was longer than the others, but some of my previous chapters have had higher wordcounts. Weird. It is a lot of information though. An information dump *SIGH*. I'm beginning to worry that it's reading like the end of a Scooby Doo episode.

lol! I don't think it's reading like the end of a Scooby Doo ep. Unless you're planning on someone ripping off a rubber mask. Then we might have a problem. XD

I think in future stories, I'm going to try to plan a bit more so that I can embed more clues and have more candidates for suspects, rather than have it seem like the only time they make any real progress is by talking to someone else or finding a witness, etc.. I guess that's realistic....but I don't know. We'll see. But thanks for letting me know it isn't reading like a Scooby Doo episode....I promise there will be no rubber masks in this one.

Chapter 23 is up. Updates this close together will probably not occur in the near future--I was lucky and took plenty of pictures the last play session. I considered sitting on it for a bit to let the excitement from the cliff hanger build, but I was too impatient. Forgive me.

Thank you very much, Rachel, for this unique and riveting story. I’ve been reading for nearly eight hours and enjoyed every minute of it! ;D I've left a comment at each chapter. At times I'm a little confused, sometimes I ask questions... I hope none of this annoyed you. I've also taken the liberty to insert a link to your site in my blogroll. Thank you again. You are a very accomplished storyteller!

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my story, Moondaisy! I tried to respond to all of your comments, and I appreciated them very much. They were thought-provoking, and good for showing me where I need to take more care in the next story. You went right to the heart of places where I was stretching the story a bit much, lol.
A lot of it is simply the perils of writing it on the fly--many of the connections and twists were established late in the story, and it resulted in me doing a bit of forcing and stretching the credibility of the reader. I'm going to try to be more careful the next time around. So please don't think your comments were annoying! They were very helpful, and I thank you very much for taking the time to make them! I am not nearly as good at this as I want to be, and I am trying to learn and grow--and you're helping!

Rachel, thank you very much! May I say that I think that you are far better than what you think you are.... as a writer?Sounds gross, I kow, but I got totally (wish I could underline totally!) ent(h)ralled by your story ( and believe me it takes talent to do that!). Loved it point other line! I don't want to put any pressure on, but I'm dying to see the next update! And,Rachel, keep going. The idea of (Catherine) 'MOAR' Edith Prescott mysteries is too delicious to miss! (Hehe, I keep on modifying! It's such a relief you CAN here!)

Love the mystery! To add to Catherine's comment, why not have them as recurring characters even if one or both is/are murderers! An interview in a prison, an escapee…

Chapter 24 is up. The wrap-up of this particular story will take a bit--I want to be sure to answer all the questions, but do it in a way that seems natural. Also, I have to set certain things into motion. So, while most of the major questions aren't answered in this chapter, there are a few developments that should be surprising.
