Your sets are always impressive! I could hear Jimmy Buffet music while I read that chapter.

DB: Aww, thank you! I wanted the bar to have that beachy, laid-back, washed-out feeling, so I'm glad I achieved it!
We'll see a very different sort of bar (more like a club) in the next story...I've had it designed for a while now...

I'm guessing this means that hubby is doing well and that all the moving stuff is well in hand? Yay!
Love the intro… I feel for both Ed and her mom… and a little for Sean, because he probably has no idea what he's up against.

DB: The hubby is doing very well, thank you for asking! He is on the mend and the moving situation is much closer to being in hand. It helps that my in-laws are here. They've done so much for us! Until recently, I could only think about the story. I was so busy with preparations for the move and Michael's appointments and work. Now we have a house secured in our new town and we'll finally be moving our stuff to it next weekend (though we'll have to come back for my husband's graduation). I'm so glad you liked the first chapter. Sean definitely doesn't know all that he's up against...

Rachel! Just read the first chapter, I am so excited to see you've started story three.
Good, but quite weird, to see Ed as someones lover; it was like seeing a whole different person - which in a way I guess she was. The Ed we know now is much more vary and riddled with guilt.
It must be so hard for Ed's parents to see her unable to embrace life and love; they've lost one child and their only remaining child won't allow herself to be happy. So sad. I hope Ed's sessions with Dr. Garrison will help her to see that it is OK to be happy, find love, move on with life, and even - dare I say it - forget about Scott a little bit. It's like Ed feels she has to be static in life till Scott comes back - or the mystery of his disappearance will never be solved.
I am happy though, that Ed's mum now knows one of the reasons why Ed took the job at Rocca investigations. It must be a bit of a relief to Ed too, that her mum knows the truth. Oh that just made me think; Ed is allowing herself to enjoy working for Nick and Sean because she feels she is doing something to solve the mystery of Scott.
Though Sean knows that Ed is sad about her missing brother I don't think he realises what an impact it is having on her life. He perhaps views her reluctance to enter into a relationship with him as sweet and innocently coy, but soon he might get fed up trying to woo her and view her as a tease or a bore. I hope not though.
Brilliant start to story three, I can't wait to read more.
I am aware that your life is quite busy these days so I'll try not to nag you for the next chapter; I shall wait patiently. * hug* Are you and your husband all settled in at your new place yet?

Shadey!! Thank you so much for your wonderful comment--you are so perceptive! You see right through everything I do. I think it is a little surreal to see Ed in the guise of a lover. We're used to hearing her repress most of her lustful urges, so seeing her actually acting on them and enjoying them (well, alluding to such activities, at least) is probably a bit jarring. It is certainly difficult for her parents to see her life on hold. They know what she's doing, and it has to frustrate them. You are exactly right that Ed allows herself to enjoy the work at Rocca Investigations because it is directly tied to finding Scott--she doesn't have to feel guilty about it. You are also exactly right to wonder how patient Sean will be with Ed.....can't make things too easy, can we? Thank you so much! Your comments have me beaming from ear to ear. An update should follow pretty soon, because my husband and I are in our new place and while everything isn't completely settled, it is settled enough to allow for some Simming this next week. I'm so excited to get back into it, and I hope to update more regularly!

Okay, you all aren't allowed to talk in this thread until there's an update. ;D I keep getting my hopes up when I see this thread bumped up.
(Don't worry, I'm mostly kidding.)
