I spent all night catching up on your story. So awesome! eta: Phil is definitely one of my favorite characters, as well as Chuck. The two of them make a great pair. It's so fun to read their arguments, lol Glad to see you like it so far.

Finally, a new update! It's a special Christmas installment. Phil hates Christmas. This year, Christmas has something to say about that. *Click on the image to read it. Merry Christmas!

I know of a lot of people who don't like Christmas, I'll never understand why! At least Phil has his reasons.
This Christmas carol was so pleasantly different! I loved it!

Thanks for the great comments you guys. I was very afraid it wasn't going to work out given how many times A Christmas Carol had been adapted.

I loved this chapter! The hourly format worked so well, and opened up so much drama. Poor Delia. Poor Max. Poor Chuck, who is going to run smack into Delia, probably when she's with Max. And probably when Chuck is with Vanessa.
ADORED the remark about the sunflowers. Simone's right, they do sort of look like they have faces!!
I tried leaving a comment on your blog but for some reason couldn't get open ID to work, probably user error on my part. But again, this was wonderful!

I love how both of you guys feel sorry for the characters. I tend to torture my characters A LOT. I hardly ever kill them, but I am known to put them through hell. I'm sure there's a reason for this, but let's not dwell on it shall we.
I had a hard time with this chapter because I felt a need to answer some questions, make some revelations and set up the next chapter. There was a lot of little teases leading up to this chapter and I felt a need to cash in on some of the anticipation I'd built up. At some point the cat as to come out of the bag right? Or at least some cats. Can't reveal everything at once.
I'm glad to see you think the hourly format works sb, 'cause it was the only way I could bring all the different plot threads together. Even I didn't realize how much I had going on until I tried to address it all in one chapter.
illandrya, I'm not sure how it happened that the love lives of the characters got to be just as messed up and tangled up as the overarching mystery. But I like it. In the end both types of conflict can be equally satisfying and can affect each other. Or least that's what I hope happens.
sb, I don't know where the hell I pulled that sunflower line. It just felt like something Simone would say. It's off the wall, but when you think about it, it's oddly perceptive.
Thanks for reading and commenting guys. I really appreciate it.

This is ahort one, at least in comparison to the last few. I was having hard time with it, so I stripped it down to the essentials for my own sanity. Anyway, click on the banner below to read it. In this chapter, Chris wreaks havoc on the masquerade ball.

Finally, a new update! Sorry for the delay. Click on the picture to read it. A newborn vampire is on the loose, and their bloody rampage across town cuts very close to home.
