Wow, congratulations. VSS seems to be a very productive community right now in more ways than one! Good luck with the interviews and be as noisy/quiet/happy/whiny as you need xx

Ya'll are too sweet. It's nice to feel supported. I tried to play today, but could barely do it for more than an hour. I haven't even opened my WYD game file since I found out--morning sickness is not at all funny to me right now, not that Ophelia would be going through it anyway since her house is full, but still. But I really, really want to get an Ed Prescott chapter out this weekend. I just don't know if it will happen. I'll do my darndest!

Awww! Congratulations to you. Between finding that out and your job interview, it's completely understandable that you're off "schedule" as it were. Best of luck to you with the morning sickness and all the rest.

OMG yay! A baby, a baby, a baby!!!! Congratulations! How exciting! Oh, I remember that first trimester! I was a wreck! I couldn't even look at a computer screen for four months! (That's why I'm kicking my own ass to get my second draft done before we seriously start trying again.) But nausea is actually a very good sign that the baby is healthy and growing I hope your nausea clears up before mine did though (I won't even tell you how long mine lasted, lol!). ETA: and let me just say, I'm glad y'all are popping out some sprogs, because I think I might be one of the only ones with a kid around here, lol!

Lunar and Laura: Thanks! Pregnancy is affecting me in ways I hadn't even considered, so thank you for understanding!
Laura, I can't tell you how relieved I am to hear that about the computer screen--I was really starting to worry that something else was wrong with me, but it really is the case that I just can't sit in front of one for long before I get a headache or start feeling nauseous. And posing and getting my little Sim puppets to cooperate is a whole other thing entirely.
I feel so much better now that I've told all of you.

Congratulations - that's so exciting!
I hope the nausea subsides soon. Job interviews while suffering from morning sickness sound like a special kind of hell, so I wish you all the luck in the world with both!

Thanks all!
I'm still waiting on word back from one of the job interviews. I think I have a very good shot at getting it.
I'm still struggling to get a handle on this pregnancy sickness stuff, and the problem is that it's rather unpredictable! But I've been having some very nausea-free days (in fact, today I haven't had any, knock on wood). I wish I knew when these days were coming in advance, because I'd play! But half the time I'm just waiting for it to come back, and I'm afraid to move my ass off the couch lest I do something to jostle my stomach too much. Anyway, the long and short of it is that I don't have an update for this weekend. Bleh. If I'm feeling this good tomorrow, I'll probably have a photo session. I really want to do it soon, so I can install Late Night and update all my mods.

Oh my goodness! Congratulations! :DDDD *hugs* I'm so happy for you and hope all your interviews turn into job offers.
I'm so excited about this news, haha. Are you hoping for a boy or a girl?

WOW! That'll teach me to skip the Babble threads for a few days. What news!
CONGRATULATIONS! ~throwing confetti and offering a few saltine crackers~ That's wonderful news! Would you throw something at me if I suggested listening to lots of children's programs on the radio and the TV? ;-)
All the best on the interviews, too! May you be glowing but not green during all of them!

DB: Thank you! That's how I feel sometimes, when I let the introductions or babble threads go. It's always such a revelation!
While I'd love the very short gestation and only one day of nausea that the Sims seem to suffer through on a normal lifespan, I have to say that I'm very glad multiples don't occur in the same way, because the hubby and I were nostalgic on Halloween and watched a lot of cartoons! It's so funny you mention that, because of the incident recently in which I accidentally gave Ophelia twins by having her listen to kids music.

So...I've been struggling to get the next update started, and I thought that all along it was just because I was feeling a little sick and tired, etc..
But I realized today that part of it must be that this doesn't belong here. I mean, the thing I was planning to do in this chapter--I'm rushing something that needs to wait. And there's absolutely no need to rush this particular thing, because it isn't something weighing on anyone (I'm not talking about Sean and Ed doing the deed, I swear--that is something that is definitely weighing on Ed's mind, and something that even if it isn't indulged just yet, will be lurking at the back of her mind almost every second).
So I just have to go to the next place I was planning to go in this story, sorta fast forward to another chapter. When I think about doing that, it's easy to see that this chapter really didn't belong here--it isn't doing much for anyone right now--it's too early for it to mean all that much in character development, and I can cut it without it impacting future chapters. It isn't needed right now.

That sounds fine to me. And I hope we get a whole chapter dedicated to Sean and Ed doing the deed.

Sfe: Yes, it's been an interesting first trimester, but I should be out of it soon and I hear wonderful things about the second trimester. Thank you very much for your patience!
