Nicole, long comments, short comments either are fine. Heck, I'm even okay with no comments so long as people are actually reading! ^__^
MDP, wow, thanks! I have a lot of reading I need to catch up on too actually. Oh so much reading needs to get done. I wish I had internet at work or something.

New chapter!Funny story-- it was actually supposed to be raining, but I couldn't get the rain to position properly and so I had to write it out. But it was one of those things that I think ended up working out for the best. I also got a surprise when I started working that should show up in about two updates.

My laptop is running low on power so I can't leave a good comment yet, but I will! I've read it and I'm still gathering my thoughts!

New half chapter. Chock full of stuff even though it's short. I have had an interesting week. Time to relax and read some blogs, and comment on all the ones I have read and I've missed.

Ok, so I just....basically spammed your site. I put comments everywhere. I think it was partially a byproduct of being in Sim story withdrawal, but it was also just your fault for writing such a wonderful story....dammit. It was just what the doctor ordered after a hellacious moving weekend.

For some reason, blogger isn't letting me leave a comment (yours is the second blogger page I've tried to leave one on and it wouldn't work either time...drat), so here's what I wanted to say:
First off, Brandon's ability is a bad thing for his sister, lol. How embarrassing.
Jimmy's tall tales are quite funny. It's weird that he has a sense of humor like that...definitely something I wouldn't have expected because it is so normal. I guess that's why Paula is amazed by it as well.
The idea that Paula's mom was arrested because she was a contact is intriguing...she obviously felt some sympathy for the plight of the Southlanders if she helped them.
Brandon's curiosity about the Neutral territory is so....sweet, but also a little heartbreaking. Jimmy's tall tales make it out to be the promised land or something. An entirely different culture. Hmm....excellent chapter, as always.

Wow, Blogger's just outright not letting people post now? Before it just hid comments. It's getting a little crazy!
I know, poor girl. Brandon doesn't have to hide it now either and pretend he can't hear her.
Oh man, I'm glad you said so. I was wondering if I'd be the only one to find it funny that he would mess around with his brother like that. I can see Brandon already asking Jimmy about it and Jimmy confessing that he was getting more outlandish waiting for Brandon to catch on. It is something normal that I don't think anyone would expect from him-- not even his brother. I think Jimmy just has a strange sense of humor.
You know, you're right, it is a little heartbreaking, isn't it? I didn't think of that. I have a feeling that he carries some of the same prejudices as the other Wildlanders and Neutrals = bad. He wouldn't say that to Paula though. He might not even confess it out loud at all.

I did manage to leave a comment for you this morning but Blogger is definitely being screwy lately! What I've been doing is typing my comment in the reply box, copying it, closing the box, refreshing the page and then trying again. For me, it always works the second time. Just something to try if anyone else is having trouble commenting on Ruin or any other Blogger blogs.

Hi there thelunarfox. I have been following your story for some time now and the only reason I haven't commented before now is simply because I am still in awe of the storyline, the concept and most of all - the writing! There is no doubt that this is a very throughly thought through story, just looking at the notes and bios you have posted on your Ruin blog shows it, but I am certain that we, the readers, aren't seeing even half of what is happening behind the scenes. And by that I don't mean your playing the game and posing the sims, I mean the feel and the smell of the locations - the sound of your characters' voices, the vibes in the air and of course the thoughts in your head which creates the basis for this fantastic story. Mindblowing. Truly, this story is addictive and each chapter, each story, leaves me stunned and wanting more. This last chapter was really an eye opener as to how little some of the Wildlanders (in this case Brandon) knows about the Neutral territory. I was very surprised that Brandon, who seems to be very in the know about a lot of stuff, could be so ignorant. I hope he'll clobber Jimmy for telling him such fibs. Well, perhaps not clobber him physically, I'm sure Brandon could find another way to let him know that his tall tales had him make a fool of himself in front of his half sister. I feel sorry for Paula, the way she is bit by bit, discovering new sides to her mum's life. Not only is she unable to confront and question her mum about it, she is also finding that the life she had before she was moved to the Wildlands is slowly falling apart around her. And now Paula is going to witness what sparring is all about? I can't wait to find out too. Muchly muchly looking forward to the next chapter. Keep up the wonderful work.

Wow, thank you very much. This world has been a long time in creation. Yes, exactly, Wildlanders are a bit ignorant about the Neutrals. They don't like them, and that's all they know. The Neutrals are at fault for the bad things done as far as Wildlanders are concerned. Brandon clobber Jimmy? Oh man, I think you've given me an idea. At least something to test out. Thank you! Meanwhile, Paula still has a lot to learn. Thank you very much! Your comment made my morning.
