A Lunar AND Rachel update in the same day?

I tried so hard to get my update done last night, but ran out of time. I was so excited when Lunar updated too!

Wow, two chapters full of great stuff! Firstly of course I have to say what a great honor it is that a comment of mine actually inspired "Brandon's Revenge". I have a great big grin on my face. ;D Thank you.

That Brandon has trouble picking up people's thoughts when there are many gathered in one place makes complete sense, just as it's hard for "normal" people to hear what others say when there are many talking at the same time. I wonder if there are other things that can block him? Is it perhaps possible to overload him with thoughts in order to cover up what is happening in the vicinity?

Pat's comment to Brandon about Paula having to face the reality of living there was probably very true, I just hope she will be able to handle it when it happens. So far there have been people protecting her, but there are also, I'm sure, a lot of people out there who would like to break through her protectors and get her. I think the fact she is Henri's daughter is very important.
Oh I just had another thought about that; perhaps Pat was very subtly warning Brandon about something concerning Paula?

Yes, I can easily see how Alex doesn't like Aaron. It's hard to explain but my impression is that their personalities completely clash and they have no common ground whereon they can meet. Unless Paula might become their common ground?

Though Jimmy and Brandon's sparring was good natured I can't help feel that their perception of each other have changed a bit, it's like Brandon has proven that though he will always be the younger brother he is also a grown man who is as good/strong/clever as his older brother. Yes, I am really happy that the two of them had this sparring.

Oh man, devious thought there, but that's true. The man isn't all powerful. There would be ways to block or trick him. I imagine that a lot of Jimmy's training would revolve around Brandon not relying completely on his powers. This is something of a quiet theme that I've noticed but hasn't been touched on with the pieces I've posted. Basically, the idea of their powers just being tools which is a hard concept for a person who has grown up always being able to do this thing.

Very insightful, as always. Paula is being very protected at the moment, but that can't always last. She's got to become a member of this new society at some point.

As for Pat, well, she was warning/reminding Brandon of something, but Paula wasn't really the focus even though she was the subject used. Uhm, if that makes any sense at all. We'll end up getting back to that I think.

Oh, exactly. Aaron and Alex are both very different types of characters. Very different. More on that next week!

Hehe, I love the way you put that. I think it's true. In some ways, Jimmy probably will always see Brandon as his little brother and Brandon will always remember that Jimmy trained him. Having watched my niece and nephew grow up, I can attest to that. I still call them kids, and my nephew is shaving. He's almost an adult now. So for their benefit, I've been trying not to call them kids (all the time).

lol! The dangers of a Harvest Moon game....I was playing mine quite a bit before our move, but with everything that happened just before we left I forgot all about it. I might need to pick it up again!

Alex is very simplistic with his language, and the way he is flirted with Paula by trying to embarrass her made me smile. I liked the contrast of his juvenile behavior along with the information that he has had to grow up too fast.

I was wondering about Brandon's connection to the Southlanders? I can't remember if it was mentioned in an earlier chapter, or if this is the first time it has been mentioned. Either was, this news was very intriguing to me.
